I usually don’t leave reviews, but this Wendy’s experience was just too frustrating to ignore. From the moment I walked in, the energy of the staff was completely off. There was no greeting, no eye contact—just a group of employees lazily standing around, clearly uninterested in doing their jobs. I figured maybe they were just having a rough day, so I gave it the benefit of the doubt and placed my order.
That was a mistake. I waited patiently for my food while watching five other customers, all of whom ordered after me, get their meals first. After about 15 minutes of being completely ignored, I went up to the counter to ask about my order. One of the workers casually responded, “Alright, we’ll start making it,” like I was the one who needed to remind them to do their jobs. No apology, no urgency—just an indifferent attitude that made it clear customer service was the last thing on their minds.
Eventually, my food came out, but even that wasn’t right. I specifically asked for my order to go, but they handed it to me on a tray like I planned to dine in. I politely reminded them that it was supposed to be bagged, and instead of correcting the mistake, the manager—yes, the manager—walked over, threw a bag onto the tray, and walked away. I was literally left to bag my own food. Not only was that unprofessional, it was downright disrespectful.
It’s one thing for a fast food place to be understaffed or backed up during a rush. It’s another thing entirely for the staff, especially the manager, to act like customers are an inconvenience. I’ve never felt so unwelcome or unappreciated spending money somewhere. Fast food doesn’t have to be fancy, but basic respect and effort should still be the standard.
If you’re thinking about stopping at this Wendy’s, I’d highly recommend going literally anywhere else. I’ll never return to this location, and I hope management seriously reevaluates how they’re...
Read moreI liked Wendy's in Southport until recently. I went there yesterday afternoon around 4 and sat in drive thru for about 15 minutes till I got to the speaker (there were 3 cars ahead of me). When I got there they said I'll be with you in a minute. The 3 cars ahead of me were serviced and I still didn't get help. I finally said hello into the speaker and they said hold and there was nobody in front of me (see pic). Finally she said what do you want? I ordered a medium fry and two large chocolate frosties. She said drive up to the 2nd window. A lady gave me the frosties and said we are waiting on your fries??? How when I was sitting at the speaker at least 5 minutes with nobody in front of me. This is the 2nd time in about 3 weeks that I went there and there was a bald guy kinda young and a lady with tattoos at the window. The previous time I went the guy was dancing in the drive thru area and hugging on the girl without a care in the world about how unprofessional he was looking. When I used to work nights and I would go thru Wendy's drive thru around 1030ish it was fast, hot, and good...
Read moreJune of 2024- my first visit in quite some time, the food was excellent, but I have to remark on the staff, there was a very kind young man working, who was so happy and upbeat and helpful, in spite of two extremely rude and unreasonable parties ahead of me.
12/15/22 went to Wendys today in a pinch, let's just say the line itself moved at a better pace but those 2 at the window acted as if it PAINED them to say anything to acknowledge my presence. One grabbed my card, one handed me a straw and a bag then I had to wait for my debit card. They closed the window and I had to wait. Finally, the lady pushed the window open and barked at me YEAH? I said, can I please have my debit card? Looking rather disgusted, she snatched my card out of the machine and handed it to me. No I'm sorry, no have a nice day, nothing.
Previous visit consisted of this: Pulled into drive thru at 10a.m. At 10:20am I'm STILL waiting, cars pulling off, and this has been an issue since opening. They are slow, this place will not be here long if they can't get their...
