Osaka — Restaurant in Southside Place

My cousin has been here, but this was my 1st time. Started with a glass of plum wine, which was Excellent. Had miso soup & salad as pre lunch appetizers. Our waitress brought us a delicious appetizer for us to try. Crunchy seaweed on top of rice topped with a tempura shrimp & veggies. I have never tasted anything so delicious. It was perfect. I wish this was on the menu. Crunchy seaweed is amazing. We had sushi rolls Tokyo & Philadelphia rolls. Spicy tuna, yellowfin and salmon. Then main course was a salmon dish, with sautéed veggies and white rice. Excellent. I have lived in this area for years & don't know how I missed this lil hidden gem. We Highly recommend this eatery. Underrated spot the quality feels like a 4.5-4.8 star place. Eating the hand rolls made me feel like I was back in Japan eating conbini onigiri 🤤

This spot definitely hits the cravings when you want something quick but satisfying.

The shrimp tempura was light and crispy, not overly greasy, and came with a creamy dipping sauce that paired nicely.

I also got a few custom handrolls—simple, fresh, and generously filled. The standout for me was the uni and scallop combo—briny, creamy, and melt-in-your-mouth tender.

Overall, solid quality for takeout and looking forward to trying them out...

I had driven by plenty of times and wasn't sure what to expect from Osaka - it looked like a small restaurant and not too fancy. But I decided to try it and loved it! They had such a wide variety of sushi rolls available and several other dishes as well. I don't go to sushi places often and the staff were super kind and helpful. Atmosphere was very clean and well kept.

I tried the dragon rolls and loved them - everything I ate here was delicious and I will definitely be going back! Very reasonable prices as well.
