I’ve been patiently waiting on a call back from the district manager Jose Estrada since the incident took place on Monday.November 11,2024. My child was profiled and discriminated against by the manager at this location name Kathy. My kid and her group of girl friends frequent this location almost everyday of the school week before class so they can get their drinks and breakfast. Monday was no different. This location has a rule for Pershing kids, no service after 8am. Due to an issue with a group of Pershing kids stealing they implied consequences for ALL the kids which is unjust and bias! It’s also discrimination!!!! You can not single individuals out because of a certain group of kids you need to take action against those kids directly if you are having an issue with Pershing kids stealing drinks then take the video footage to Pershing speak with the police officer and TRESPASS those group of individuals!!! You do not have the right to hassle and harass anyone else! My kid ordered her drink her friend drink and food for them the total was a little over 17 dollars! My child has came to this location several times with Kathy in there to pick up her app order that day Kathy watched the girls wait outside the door and when they came in she rudely DEMANDED A RECEIPT! Speaking ill and disrespectful to a minor is unacceptable, my kid didn’t know what to do as she was honestly just trying to pick up her purchase, so she called me I myself spoke to Kathy who had the same demeaning and condescending tone not trying to understand or help as a GENERAL MANAGER! Demanding a receipt when in fact the app does not provide any type of receipt!!!!! I explained this to her there was no receipt to show the order was placed in the app as a guest! She basically told me I was a liar and there is NO WAY you can place an order through the app as a guest in her words “you can’t place an order through the app as a guest, STARBUCKS doesn’t have that option” when in fact you can!!!! Being that this conversation wasn’t going anywhere since we can’t produce a receipt, my kid insisted she look at her cash app transaction since she used her cash app card for the purchase. Kathy responded, “I need the receipt” I asked her to look at the cash app transaction go in the system and look at the app order and match the card info to my kids card! She rudely declined stating she can’t do it without the receipt! Finally I asked for a refund because at this point it’s getting late and the girls are going to be late for school dealing with this debacle!!! Kathy REFUSED to refund me because we couldn’t show a receipt she refused to look at the proof we did have which was the cash app transaction!!! It wasnt until i stated this was unethical and she was discriminating my kid that she reluctantly gave my kid her order and was very passive about doing so!! This was the absolute worse behavior and experience I’ve ever dealt with especially at a STARBUCKS! You expect to get the ‘chick-fila’ type of experience! It’s a pleasure to help how can we make it easy for you! Kathy did everything in her power to make this transaction as difficult as possible for these kiddos. I politely explained to her it’s way too early in the morning to have such a bad attitude. No pun intended and I didn't say this to her but really who pissed in your coffee this morning. If such rule is to be In place then it should be the same at all locations and for all said people not just one particular group. You have door dashers and Uber eats imposters there is nothing stopping or limiting them for coming in at free will! Unhappy customers and kids left feeling...
Read moreI’m writing to share a concern about customer service something that may seem small but has had a meaningful impact on my daily experience at your store. I regularly visit the one in 4001 Bellaire blvd—it’s a clean and welcoming place. My child goes to school nearby, so I often stop by in the mornings for a coffee after dropping my kid.
One small but meaningful touch I've noticed is how your team often writes kind and encouraging messages on customers’ cups. It's a wonderful gesture—something that can really brighten someone’s morning. However, I’ve noticed that my cup usually doesn't has one, even when others in the same pickup line do.
This morning, it felt especially disheartening when I entered the store to pick up my drink. I was the only one who didn’t receive a message on my cup. It was embarrassing and made me wonder why. I can’t help but question if it’s because my name isn’t a typical American name. Of course, I understand that this may not be intentional—but when it happens consistently, it can feel like exclusion.
As a working mom with a full day ahead, I try not to let small things ruin my morning—but they do have an impact. This experience has made me consider going elsewhere for my coffee, just to start the day feeling more included and uplifted.
I’m sharing this not out of anger, but in the hope that your team might reflect on how meaningful small gestures of kindness can be—and how equally noticeable their absence can feel. It’s a very small thing, but as you know, these little things matter—especially at the beginning of the day. I hope my message encourages a moment...
Read moreI recently started coming to this location as it’s along my route to work. The staff are really friendly and write the best messages on your cup.
Two days in a row my order had issues. On 10/15 my drinks were missing the cookie crumble pieces, normally if a location is out they’ll tell you. I was in the store while my drinks were being prepared. No biggie as I didn’t have time to wait. On 10/16 I ordered an oatmeal, I said you don’t have to make it I’ll add the water later at work. The barista stated okay, then proceeded to try to add the water. I stopped her and told her it wasn’t necessary. I asked for a regular oatmeal, however I was charged for blueberries. I’ve never gotten an oatmeal and it came with blueberries in a container on the side. Nevertheless the blueberries I was given were 7 days past the expiration date. Even if mold isn’t visible I don’t want to pay for or consume anything past the expiration date. Today on 10/20 the barista made my drink in the serving cup & put the lid to the mix on top of the serving cup and shook it to mix. I saw the drink going all over the cup. The barista had it all over her hands where she had to wipe her hands on her pants. Then proceeds to sit the cup on the counter in front of me. Now I have a wet sticky cup. Last visit at this location I’ll stop in post...
