As per my previous review I have been a patron of this Andy’s since it opened. I love Andy’s, I always will. However tonight was the last straw for this particular Andy’s. It has increasingly gone down hill… Tonight while eating my treat I got an actual piece of metal. I don’t mean tin foil, I mean a legitimate unbendable piece of metal. I only thank god that it was in my treat and not any of my 3 kids. I’m so sick of this Andy’s, we will go to boiling springs now that they are open from now on, even if it is out of the way. There is no excuse for this.
(4 star review 3 years ago) Andy’s frozen custard is honestly hands down the best frozen treat I’ve ever had. I love Andy’s and their custard but I’m giving 4 stars because working for them, eh not so much. I thought I would love working at a place that I loved the food but that wasn’t the case. The store manager presents herself as being above everyone else and I don’t mean just in the work place. The training is absolutely awful and your expected to remember every named treat recipe, which do not follow the typical rules for custom creations. So if you ever wonder why it tastes great one day but not the next, I blame the inconsistent recipes and rules. No matter how bad working there is or how awful some of the managers are, I will always love the product itself and continue to support Andy’s outside of...
Read moreStopped going for a while due to the rude younger girls that work there with dark hair. But my son would beg so we started stopping back by. Again, the staff acts annoyed in the evenings that you come through the drive thru. They are on the counters hanging out which I could really care less, but to basically huff & puff when you see customers is pretty rude. I pay for double toppings & every time have you argue that not only is it not double toppings, that’s unbelievable for even what you would consider a regular topping. Today I sent my husband as I didn’t wanna have to argue as usual for what I’m paying for, and he comes to the car mad stating we won’t be back, the attitude when We are completely respectful and kind is unwarranted. We are not the first people who have had this problem. Having staff who roll their eyes consistently, hand you something you paid extra for then get mad when you show them there’s no way this is even regular, much less double, is ridiculous. My parents came in town and my dad was also quickly disgusted with the rudeness at the drive thru. The boys who work there tend to be very polite, helpful, and great. So it’s not everyone. Really hope this changes. Next time I’ll be speaking directly to a manager, calling them out immediately, and I should have done this...
Read moreHoppin' place on a Saturday night. Great selection. Drive thru and walk up window available. Outdoor seating (benches) available. You can watch the custard be made through the window. I tried a small "Allstar Jackhammer" which is chocolate custard with peanut butter, oreos and a marshmallow creme. A size small was $6.29 plus tax. The serving size was generous for a size small. In fact, I wish a smaller size was available for a slightly cheaper price. The custard was smooth and tasty. My husband got a vanilla custard with strawberries and hot fudge. Mixed together it tasted exactly like regular starberry ice cream with chocolate syrup. Nothing crazy special, but still very good. The service was a bit slow, but that is to be expected when you're making hand crafted / personalized selections for folks. The young lady that serviced us wasn't very friendly. Maybe she was just having a...
