Well its Wednesday evening and yes i was late to get here walked in at 937 pm and my wife and daughter met me here for what was to be a very enjoyable evening and dinner . And the staff welcomed us as if we were the first person to arrive during the day we were seated at a clean table and asked how we were . Our waitress a miss B Lily took our drink order and brought us our drinks and a loaf of bread with butter and asked if we wanted any appetizers we ordered the steak and cheese dip with chips. We got it and she took our dinner order without any type of attitude or even worrying that it was close to closing time . the Kitchen staff and the cooks prepared our meals perfectly and without any issues. We were not rushed or hurried at all . we were treated as a guest that was welcome. Our waitress was excellent very polite and friendly never worried about the time and very attentive to our needs . drinks were always full or replaced . the entire staff was polite and courteous to all the guests in the restaurant . i have been here several times at various times of the night and have never felt like i was just a check . this Restaurants policy is to take care of the guest and they have never deviated from that policy . I have been to other steak houses in Spartanburg and have felt like all they cared about was my wallet. And the wait staff only cared about their tip before i even got my drinks . but tonight was a wonderful evening with what i would classify as an evening out with friends because that's the way they treated us and made us feel . i will say our waitress never made it about a tip and never tried to shame us about a tip like the other waitress at Texas Roadhouse did we had just sat down and the first thing out of her mouth was the last table i waited on only left me $5.00 as a tip. I didn't want to say was your service worth that much. But i have never heard that from anyone at Outback steakhouse. And their service is well worth more than the 35% tip i left tonight. Now don't get me wrong i would have left more but that was all the cash i had on me . this young lady was exceptional and is a privilege to have her as our waitress. Thank you for a very enjoyable evening and thank you for treating us just the same as if we had been your first customer of the night even though we were. Last ones in the restaurant you are a great asset for this Outback steakhouse and again...
Read moreMy wife and I went to Outback last week and I had to wait to do a review because I needed to calm down before I wrote this review. With that being said, we have been there 3 times since Covid. And last week was our third time and a confirmation as to why we won’t be back.
My wife was craving the Alice Springs chicken and I had the porterhouse steak. Her chicken dinner was not good according to her. It was nowhere near what it used to be. The appetizer, blooming shrimp was good. My steak was supposed to be medium rare and it was very rare!
I did not complain because this was our third encounter at this location since Covid and it was our final dinner there. If we pay $88 and some change (not including tip) is going to be this bad, no wonder the parking lot was so easy to get into.
If I spend top dollar for a dinner, I don’t think it’s too much to enter what I paid for. Maybe that’s me?! Our server was very sweet, but we had to constantly ask for refills on our tea and one time had to ask someone to ask her to bring us a refill.
The reason why I didn’t complain in the restaurant is because I didn’t want to draw attention and create a distraction. I don’t like it when I see people do that and I definitely didn’t want someone to think we were trying to get a free meal! I don’t do that and I will never humiliate myself to get a free meal.
Just know that the $88 and change we spent for the meal was not worth it. Our total bill was $118 and some change because I will not make someone suffer who is trying to serve us our meal because I don’t know what kind of day she may have had.
I always want to be respectful and as polite as possible to someone who I don’t know their story, but I live on disability and when I splurge on a nice meal with my wife and I get a horrible return on investment for my money, I can’t go back. Just not worth it!
I wish nothing but the best for any and every restaurant in Spartanburg and the surrounding area but I can no longer patronize this...

Ah, Outback Steakhouse—the supposed shrine to hearty portions and reliable comfort food. One would think that a chain with such a storied reputation would know how to handle a simple takeout order. But alas, my recent encounter proved otherwise.
Celebrating my in-laws’ 28th anniversary at home was meant to be a stress-free evening of good food and even better company. I entrusted Outback with the centerpiece of this gathering: twelve plates meant to satisfy a crowd. What we received, however, was a masterclass in culinary negligence.
Six out of twelve orders were either made incorrectly or lacked sides entirely. That’s more than half. It takes a special kind of apathy to achieve those numbers. Is the grill haunted? Does someone back there have a vendetta against mashed potatoes? Whatever the reason, the result was a scattered mess of incomplete meals that resembled an unfinished puzzle.
Perhaps it’s easy to prioritize the dine-in patrons who can wave down a server for a missing side. But news flash: to-go customers deserve just as much attention. Our money is just as green, our expectations just as reasonable. I didn’t spend a small fortune to play “Which Entree is Missing Its Partner.”
A special occasion turned into an impromptu game of dinner roulette, with disappointed faces around the table. Celebrations deserve better, and frankly, so do your customers. Outback, if you want to keep riding on the coattails of your former glory, start caring about every plate that leaves your kitchen—whether it’s headed to a booth...
