A Sushi Lover's Paradise - Wasabi Japanese Restaurant Review
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Wasabi Japanese Restaurant, and I must say, it was an unforgettable culinary experience. As a dedicated sushi enthusiast, I'm always on the lookout for exceptional dining spots that can truly satisfy my craving for delicious, fresh, and creatively prepared sushi. Wasabi not only met but exceeded my expectations in every way.
The moment I stepped into the restaurant, I was greeted by an elegant yet inviting atmosphere that immediately set the tone for the meal ahead. The modern decor, traditional accents, and soft lighting created an ambiance that was both relaxing and chic, making it an ideal place for a memorable dining experience.
Now, let's talk about the star of the show - the sushi. Oh, where do I even begin? The sushi offerings at Wasabi are nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment I took my first bite of the White Tuna Sushi, I knew I was in for a treat. The white tuna practically melted in my mouth, its delicate flavor and tender texture were an absolute delight. Each piece was expertly crafted, showcasing the skill and precision of the chefs.
But it wasn't just the white tuna that left a lasting impression. Wasabi boasts an incredible selection of fish that truly highlights the restaurant's commitment to sourcing the finest ingredients. From rich, buttery salmon to melt-in-your-mouth yellowtail, every bite was a testament to the quality of the seafood. The sushi rice was perfectly seasoned, forming an exquisite base that complemented the fish without overpowering its natural flavors.
One thing that stood out was the creativity evident in their sushi rolls. The menu offered a range of innovative combinations that surprised and delighted my taste buds. The balance of flavors and textures in each roll was a testament to the chefs' culinary prowess. It was evident that they had a deep understanding of how to bring out the best in each ingredient.
The service at Wasabi Japanese Restaurant was as impeccable as the food itself. The staff was attentive, knowledgeable, and eager to ensure that every diner had a truly memorable experience. Whether I had questions about the menu or needed recommendations, they were more than happy to assist.
In conclusion, my visit to Wasabi Japanese Restaurant was an absolute delight from start to finish. The exceptional quality of the sushi, particularly the unforgettable White Tuna, showcased the restaurant's dedication to providing an outstanding dining experience. The variety of fish and creative rolls only added to the culinary adventure. If you're a sushi lover looking for an amazing selection of fish and a dining experience that leaves you craving for more, Wasabi is the place to be. I can't wait to return and explore even more of their...
Read moreWalked in tonight. Open sign light up. They turn light off as we are walking in and say they are closed but we can place a to go order. We would have liked to dine in but placed the order anyway. Spent close to $40 on hibatchi food for 2 people (2 full meals with steak shrimp vegetables and rice and a side of extra steak). Told lady we would like extra terriaki and ginger sauce because we like putting it on all of our food and we didn't want the shrimp sauce that it came with. She gave us a total of 4 small cups of sauce. I reminded her of what I said and asked for more sauce. She pulls out a menu and says $1.50 per extra small little cup of sauce. I asked if we were dining in would it be all we wanted for free. She said yes but they were going to close. There were 3 other families eating in there one of which was just getting their food. I had already told her it was our first time when we walked in. I told the lady that we would have dined in if given the option and making me pay $1.50 per little cup of sauce that would have been free if I ate there is not going to make me want to come back. She just smiled and shook her head like I said something good. On to the review of the food. The teriyaki sauce was awful. Glad I didn't pay for more. When asked what kind of steak it was she said beef. When we asked if it was filet or sirilon or ribeye she had to go ask. She came back and said ribeye. She said it's the same thing you get at the hibatchi restraunts where they cook in front of you. The shrimp wasn't much bigger than the size you put on salad (really small). The steak definitely wasn't ribeye. It was very chewy. I had to spit it out because I couldn't get it chewed up. Their rice sticks together and was a little mushy. Their veggies weren't good either. It seemed like they didn't use hardly any sauces when cooking the food. We threw away almost all of our food. I honestly can't say ANYTHING good about this place. I did try to eat the food with an open mind because I knew the lady that took our order and made me mad about the sauces was just one person and didn't cook the food. Don't waste your time or money! I'd rather have McDonalds and I don't usually...
Read moreWe pulled up to this place and I thought..eeh, it looked a little sketchy but some of the best places are found that way. The young man who was our server was very quiet and slow. Waitstaff consisted of 2 people which should have been fine because when we came in there were only 3 tables with people and a couple sitting at the bar. The menu is VERY wrong or very misleading if nothing else. I ordered a spicy tuna roll, a sweet & spicy tuna roll and a rock "in" roll. The rock "in" roll was on the cooked sushi roll side and the other two were to the left on the regular roll side. When the rolls came out to the table the sweet & spicy tuna roll was actually the cooked one and the rock "in" roll was regular sushi. I asked the server if he had just gotten them mixed up but he said no, that the rock in roll was cooked crabmeat on the inside with rice on the outside and the sweet & spicy tuna roll was "only cooked" on the outside...I told him the menu was very misleading because that is not what it says. It has a different section for "cooked rolls" and regular rolls. The S&S tuna roll did not say anything about being cooked and the the RinR didn't say anything about being cooked on the inside only with rice on the outside. To top it off the food wasn't even good. The spicy tuna roll was not spicy at all, the gyoza we ordered was over fried (I prefer steamed but still like the fried ones as well). The so called ginger dressing on our salads was French dressing. The fried rice my husband had was not fried..I think they just took some white rice and mixed in some soy sauce to turn it brown. I don't know how this place managed to get 4.6 stars. Save yourself a trip and find another place. They got 1 star from me because I had to just to post thus, otherwise, they would have...
