A&W Restaurant — Restaurant in Spearfish

Decided to try A&W for the first time. We ordered a bacon cheeseburger, add Papa sauce, a Papa burger, a coney Island dog, and a chili cheese fry. When asked about what the papa sauce is they essentially told us it was Big Mac sauce, we also asked about what the supposed "salad dressing" is on their menu and we're told "it's just salad dressing". Every description given by the staff was extremely vague. Waited over 20 minutes to get our food, and once we went to dig in, we we're EXTREMELY disappointed to find that the bacon cheeseburger had no bacon on it, and the sauce was on the side. The chilli sauce was almost sour tasting, and the burger themselves had a foul taste to them.

After waiting 20 minutes, and paying almost $50 for everything we expected a lot more. We couldn't even bother to try and finish the food.

Then we tried calling the store to speak to a manager, we went straight to an automated answering system, and when we prompted to be transferred to the store, nobody answered and we were sent straight to voicemail. We tried three different times. We will NEVER be spending our money here again. So...

I placed an online order through the A&W app for the Spearfish, SD location on Halloween, only to arrive and find the restaurant closed—with a sign on the door stating they had shut down hours earlier. Despite this, the app still allowed me to place and pay for my order. I never received my food and had to contact A&W separately to request a refund, as the store couldn’t process it.

It’s incredibly disappointing that online ordering remained open when the restaurant was clearly closed. This was an unnecessary inconvenience and a poor reflection on how this location manages its customers. I truly hope A&W addresses this issue so no one else ends up paying for food they...

"All" the workers that didnt want to work after 'vid work here now. I walked up to a woman at the counter, behind a register, just standing there looking around, and asked if i could place my order with her. she stared at me blankly and said "i uh. i dont. 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️" i assumed it must be her first day and ordered my polorizer and shake at the kiosk instead, turned around and the same woman was taking the order of the family behind me, clearly capable. I then recieved a polorizer, half melted, with 5 little cookie dough crumbles unmixed, and a sprinkling of pubes. the strawberry milkshake went from pink to white in 3 sips, not mixed. didnt even try the food and...
