The help desk is a coin-flip on whether or not they'll know the answer to something. One day you can ask for an item and they'll know. Another day you might ask where are the screwdrivers and they'll hop on the radio like I'm in looking for a flux capacitor for my time machine.

Checkout process is S-L-O-W. The cashier is pumping the mouse like it powers the computer. Ace rewards? LOL. Card machine takes its sweet time approving. Overall it's just not a great customer experience.

Returning something? Bring a book. The cashier will be clicking and typing away like they're trying to program a supercomputer while processing the return. None of this is the fault of the cashier, but it's still an awful customer experience.

Prices are higher here because the nearest competition is 40 miles East. Many contractors (often veterans) know they can save 10% by going to Lowe's in Rapid City. When buying expensive items, it makes sense to make the trip even with the added cost of gas/time.

I came in looking for paver sand and had looked outside but couldn't locate it. I had talked to a few different employees in my search, and I was told it was in the warehouse and to drive over to the warehouse to be loadedup, than another employee said it was just out front outside. I paid for my paver sand, and another employee came outside with me to help me locate it. She was unable to locate it and called on her walkie-talkie for assistance and was directed to a pile of ripped open rock bags and I was informed that was the paver sand i bought (all ripped open, spilled on the ground)! I knew that definitely was not paver sand, and what business thinks it's okay to sell ripped open half empty bags spilled out on the ground at full price. Then the headache to go get my money back made me truly regret coming here at all. Beyond frustrating and a huge waste of my time! A simple no we don't have any paver sand would...

Been using Ace for forever especially since I was working for my own brother’s business running materials and tools 12 years ago throwing things on his account without a hitch. A week ago we refinished some floors in Aladdin WY and on the 3rd bucket of finish you can see a distinct line where it starts and has a cloudy look to it unlike the first 3/4 of the floors so it has to be redone again. Rebuffed, refinished. Emailed ace and Michael responded so fast and without more info and pics he pulled up the receipts and credited the finish back to us. Happy to use someone that’s accountable.
