Dinner for 2 . Sat along front wall. First time here. Warm. Cozy table/seats. Ordered , served soda + water. Food came out fairly quickly. Server got 15% out of our usual minimum. Try offering refills when you walk by on your phone and notice your guests have nothing. Bill came and an offer for dessert. Decided against eating more here, paid and went to store and buy something we would enjoy. Let me tell you what not to order. I'm originally from the PNW and love tuna raw, medium or cooked. This monstrosity delivered hot like nuked fish and tough to chew was not what I expected. My fries were cold , his were hot. His plate of fries was potentially a great item for someone that's highly under the influence. The grease between the items was basically what stopped him from eating. Added note, green onions had no place here, no mention in the menu of having onions and when you order fries and chicken fried steak you wouldn't think you'd need to say no onions (allergy) but hey, we didn't say anything because assumptions were made on our part, silly us for thinking common practice this is a safe bet not to see onions and 20min later I had picked them all out. Side note for kitchen staff. Check the tomatoes better, as you maybe would have seen when plate re entered kitchen, it was rotten on...
Read moreWe stopped for lunch on about 1:00 on a Wednesday in late September. Although there was still a good sized lunch crowd, we were seated and waited on immediately. My wife wanted to try one of their craft beers and the pleasant and efficient waitress took the time to listen to what kind of beers my wife likes and then made a recommendation-- my wife loved her recommendation. We were also impressed by the wide variety of dishes available on the menu.
My wife chose the 1/2 lb, mushroom and Swiss cheese burger with the sweet potato chips her side dish. The burger was perfectly cooked to order, very thick, and juicy. She also loved the chips.
I had the Poutain: French fries, cheese curds, a large (and thick) chicken fried steak, and everything covered in a tasty brown gravy. It was also delicious.
We were very happy to have chosen Killians. It may not be the cheapest option in town for lunch (each meal was about $12--$13, and the beer was about $4), but the portions were generous, everything was delicious, and the...
Read moreA pleasing dining experience. Pub style restaurant with a unique selection of entrees and appetizers such as lamb burgers, sushi nachos, and eggplant dip all made from scratch. The bar offers many selections of local and regional craft beers on tap; premium beers such as Budwieser and Coors may also be available. All craft beers are listed on a flat screen tv and the screen changes about three times due to there large selection that's offered. Staff is friendly to serve you from the minute you walk in, through your meal time, and as you walk out the door. Great food, a little higher priced but its fresh and high quality compared to most dine-in restaurants here, and in the neighboring towns, that serve frozen processed food. Cons: small parking lot with limited parking altogether; best to have a small car or truck. Parking a large full size truck towards the end of the parking lot near the street would best if those spots are available. Try carpooling with your friends/family in one car or take a taxi (Cayon Cab in...
