Taco John's — Restaurant in Spearfish

The food here is somewhat hit and miss. Sometimes it's awesome and other times not so much. I am a huge taco John's fan and frequent the franchise throughout the midwest. Out of every franchise I have visited (which is a lot), the Spearfish location is by far my least favorite. It's not the food which i do not enjoy, it is the customer service. Every time i come to this location, i always feel unwelcome. The staff usually has no clue what is going on and their frustrations come out on you the customer. I have been through the drive thru and have asked for jalapenos and hot sauces , which the drive thru person says sorry they are busy and cannot get the sauces or jalapenos. I then go inside to retrieve my sauces and jalapenos and notice two employees standing around doing nothing. Very frustrating,(This was not the first time by far). I don't know if it's due to negligent employees not showing up to open the restaurant when they're supposed to or closing early when they're not supposed to, but this location is literally never open when it's supposed to be. It's supposed to be open at 6:30 a.m. during the weekdays, but literally every time I've shown up even as late as 7:30 a.m. they've still been closed. And now at this very moment they're supposed to be open until midnight, and it even states that it was verified 4 days ago, yet go figure THEY'RE CLOSED. The least they could do is make sure that the hours that are advertised online are accurate so that I can quit wasting my time driving all the way to there only to be...

Kylie and her team are absolutely amazing! She was caught in a busy situation with some online ordering and some of the orders got mixed up! She was absolutely perfect on the phone and when I sent my husband back in! She exceeded the expectations above and beyond! I wish I would have caught rest of the crews name working on the evening of 1/9/25 but I was only able to catch Kylie’s! Girl!
