China Wok — Restaurant in Spencer

I've been a customer here for years and never had an issue. I saw a few recent negative reviews and felt the need to address some of them. The "about" section on Google clearly states that they are Cash Only -- it's also posted on the door and in numerous photos on Google. There are multiple ATMs nearby, and if you have to pay the $3-5 fee, you're still getting a deal with the amount of food for the price. I get 2 combo platters (for 2 people) for less than $20, and I always have leftovers. One thing that hasn't been updated on their Google details (and not sure if they have access to do so) is that there's no longer Dine In, it's carry out only. The pickup window is super convenient, and if you want extra sauces, fortune cookies, napkins, utensils, etc... just ask! It's all right there by the windows and they will gladly fill you a bag of whatever you need. They have always accommodated my requests. There are a few members of my family that have an egg allergy, and China Wok has always made my special orders correctly. I don't need an extravagant greeting, they still provide...

China Wok is the best place to get American/Chinese dishes in the area. I'll take the Pepsi challenge with their food against Dragon in Bloomington Indiana any day, and China Wok will win. Everything is made fresh and they never forget anything in your order. Prices are reasonable and the portions if you eat in are huge. No matter what you order, it's always done in a timely manner. Usually only 15 minutes. For a small town like Spencer they have great food. GREAT food. Don't let the appearance fool you. Grew up in New York eating plenty of Chinese food. Very fortunate to have this family serving fresh ingredients with incredible flavors for a very reasonable price. Have never been disappointed. They are extremely pleasant and welcoming. I do believe that on a recent visit to China, the family may have been prevented from returning to States due to Covid 19.due to U.S. border closed to China. I do not know this for sure. Consequently, the restaurant has been closed with no notice as to when it will reopen. A real shame. Wish family the best. Spencer...
