I'm planning a car meet-up, which will start in Spencer. I wanted to check out a location for breakfast, had seen the location on "Maps" and read the reviews. No place can be THAT good, right? WRONG!!! C46D is a typically nice, small town diner. I got a menu and found a seat( somewhat crowded, but a few empty tables/seats). My polite, energetic waitress came up, and I ordered my meal. Not watching a clock, but it took less than 8min til my meal was in front of me. My taste buds were going crazy...gee whiz it smelled, and looked terrific. I hope I didn't look as if I hadn't eaten for a week, because I definitely dove into the food. It was cooked perfectly and the taste was out-of-this-world! Heading back down there next month, I will definitely be sure to stop back in. After that, I will have to make up excuses at work to go to Southern Indiana... but I will...

The biggest surprise is the food - it is your typical small town offering but the quality of cooking is perfect! My lunch companions had breakfasts. Their portions were generous, and everything cooked to order. I had the Reuben and fries. The corned beef looked as if it was seared on the grill and then placed on nicely toasted rye bread. The sour kraut was very good , and the melted Swiss cheese & thousand island dressing completed the sandwich - it was the best I had in a long time! The fries were well prepared in obviously fresh oil. Prices are...
