McDonald's — Restaurant in Spencer

This is usually the best McDonald's restaurant but this time the girl who took my order was rude on the intercom. My order didn't present on the screen and as I was letting her know I was ordering the large fry she interrupted with, "anything else?" I said large fry because I assumed she didn't hear that part because she interrupted and she said, "yeah, anything else?" The tone of her voice was impatient, irritated and unprofessional. When I got the food out and opened the mcdouble, it was a regular $1 cheeseburger just wrapped in a mcdouble wrapper so at that point it was too late to go back and let them know but either way, with the rudeness I wouldn't have felt comfortable with getting a replacement in fear of someone spitting in the food. Also, whoever wrapped the sandwiches didn't wrap them up right. The wrapping was falling off and gaps of the sandwiches were showing. I don't understand what happened this time. I never really had a bad experience at this one til today. I have been going to this McDonalds for the past 6 years and never dealt with something like this. Maybe there are new employees that are young kids? I don't know. Maybe short staffed? I'm not sure but it was a...

Terrible service! Went through the drive-thru at 4:20am on 11/16/14. Simple order of McMuffin without meat and Hash Brown. Took around 7 minutes to get my food although no one else was in line nor in store. Once received, checked out my food and sure enough it had meat on it...Hash Brown was cold & over-cooked. Went back through drive-thru to describe the issue. Was told it would have to be prepared all over again...and asked to drive up and wait. Surprisingly, order was brought out within less than 1 minute. When I looked at the sandwich, it was the exact same sandwich but the meat was removed. Got out of my car, went into the store, told of my experience...was told I could wait again...left the food on the counter and left the store...had to catch a plane at the airport in Indianapolis...don't plan on going back to this store...EVER!!!...inside the store as well as the parking lot were also very dirty...Avoid this place if you care about...

For a McDonalds this was a great stop. The prices were fair with a few specials available as detailed by the cashier. The restaurant was clean and staff were friendly. Even though there was only one register things moved quickly with the help of two self help kiosks. The food was made fresh and served quickly. There was plenty of access to straws & napkins and the drink machine was well maintained including the floor around it. The dining area had several guests but was overall very clean and well maintained. In the bathroom there was plenty of paper in the stalls, soap at the sinks, paper towels, and also a speed dryer. The staff were super. Very friendly, with smiles all around. Overall a great stop for a quick breakfast. If I ever need a quick mean in Spencer IN again, I would definitely consider...
