Stopped by for a quick lunch after an appointment downtown Spokane. The restaurant was grungy and not well maintained. Broken booths, mismatched paint, unpainted walls, filthy windows. Wall decor was actually taped to the wall with masking tape. The men's room toilet runs constantly and is covered in splattered poo, no soap or paper towels at the sink. Floor are really sticky. Walls were disgustingly dirty. But sometimes the best places to eat are the hole in the wall, right? Not Atilano's. Carne asada sopas are mostly refried beans covered in lettuce, I found 3 pieces of carne asada, literally three pieces in two sopas. The sopas are supposed to be a light flakey texture, and I darn near broke my plastic knife trying to cut them. No joke. Their motto is San Diego's Best Burritos. We didn't have burritos, so I can't comment on that, but the rest of the experience left us still hungry and needing a shower. We won't be back.

9.28.24: Last night stop after a music concert and before making the hour drive home. First time here and went simple and ordered 2 "special" carne asada tacos ala carte with a slice of flan for a sweet treat. The carne asada tacos were pretty big and loaded with plenty of meat. What makes it "special," is they add salsa, pico, and guac. To be honest, I bet the regular carne asada tacos are just as good. Tacos tasted good and not overly seasoned and can't complain about the portion size either. If anything, I could have used a couple extra limes. The flan was decent and the taste was what is expected from a flan--a caramel sauce custard. Texture was nice and firm, not mushy. Late night drive-thru window was open and service was fairly quick. Overall, Atilano's hit the spot for late night munchies. I do plan to return and try other menu items.

Well I wasn’t going to take this public but since their customer service refuses to respond to the 5+ emails I’ve written and MULTIPLE unanswered phone calls, guess I’ll take it to the good ol’ google review. About a month ago, I got off work late (I work a block away) and wanted a late night snack so I decided, sure this sounds great. I pull up, order my Washington burrito, pay, and make my 5 minute drive home. After a long shift at work, I sat down to eat said burrito. One bite was all I got before I choked on something. What you might ask? A plastic bag. Yep. A PLASTIC BAG was rolled up in my burrito. I work in the service industry, I know mistakes happen but like who in their right mind doesn’t see a plastic bag getting rolled into a burrito. So here’s my review. Atilanos, you suck.

Was picking up a Doordash order I was to Deliver super late at night/early am hours and was the ONLY customer there inside or outside. Went through the drive thru and the employee told me I had to come in to get the order. I explained that I don't exit my vehicle in that part of town at that time of night & he kept arguing with me about coming in. I pulled up to the window and had to yell for him to finally come speak to me. I then asked him to please explain to me why I should jeopardize my safety with all of the transients (obviously under the influence of drugs) sprawled all over their property to come inside to grab an order that they could very easily just hand me through the drive thru window. Also pointed out that I'm the only customer there and I'm not holding up any sort of line by being in the drive thru. Added that this food isn't even for me and that I'm being highly underpaid by Doordash to deliver it. And repeated myself with all of the above that I'm not risking my safety to pickup some greasy food, that I'm delivering to someone not eating myself, being underpaid to do so while there are dangerous people all over your property and no security for my safety and had you just given me the order we would've parted ways minutes ago and you could've gone on to whatever you'd rather be doing at the moment instead of listening to me complain about your insanely horrible customer service as well as your disregard for my personal safety. He then said nothing and handed me the order. I've been going there to pick up late night deliveries for over 2 years and have never had an issue until this gentleman. Every time they ask me to come in and I say I'm happy to wait in the drive thru line as I don't exit my vehicle in this area during this time and they say ok and we have no issues. But this night this person I had never seen previously had a chip on his shoulder and wanted to argue with me over it until I handed him his a$$ on a...

I have on six or more (lost count at this point) occasions told them no cheese and they continue to put cheese. I cannot have cheese it makes me sick. I've made a big deal about... saying no cheese at least five times in my 2 or 3 item order... but still cheese. I at this point don't drive away until I look to see...once I showed the gal and she grabbed the burrito and looked at it... she then said "oh no there's no cheese", but it looked like they accidentally put cheese and tried to take it off. I said "yes there is cheese". She then said "wait one minute", a minute later she came back and said, "they said there is no cheese" and proceeded to hand it back to me!!! A few days ago I forgot to check before heading home. Got home and again both burritos had cheese!!!!! I called and the gal asked me to hold I waited at least five minutes while I heard her taking orders etc. She finally gets back on the phone and answered like I hadn't been waiting! I asked for the supervisor. I told the supervisor what had happened, how this was a repeated issue. She said "when did you buy it who was it?" And then checked the records to see, then said bring it back and I'll make 2 new ones. I said I was already home! She said "if I bring it back now I could get new ones." I've been treated like I'm a liar and that I'm trying to get free food, and just plain horrible. I think the fact that I've gone back several times speaks to how patient I am... but this is ridiculous!! The food is... good, but the prices have jumped so high a plain bean burrito costs $10. Yes, plain! Just tortilla and beans. And their burritos are smaller than...

My late night trip to Atilano's was pleasantly underwhelming. I had a late night hankering for a breakfast burrito. Usually, I would go to California Mexican Kitchen to satisfy this kind of craving. However, Atilano's was closer, so we decided to give their breakfast burritos another shot. I say "give them another shot" because the last and only time we have ever ordered food from Atilano's it was extremely dissapointing. So much that we didn't even eat our food. It was, by definition, a complete waste

So we decided to give the place another shot. I hear great things all the time about Atilano's food. &. Specifically, their breakfast burritos. Except, that is not the experience my girlfriend and I had the last time we ordered food from them. Maybe it was a new cook or just off their game because something was for sure just kind of off with it.. I personally one took one bite and was like nope! My girlfriend did choke down a few bites. This was the same exact breakfast burrito we always order from their sister restaurant on the Northside, California Mexican Kitchen or something like that I always feel like I am getting it wrong and that very well could be the case right now... either way it took over the old senior froggy's on...
