On Friday July 18, 2025, my mother and I went to lunch at Clark’s Fork. This was our first time there and will not be the last!
We were warmly greeted when we walked in, the restaurant was moderately busy but not too noisy or crowded at all. Clean and very inviting, it feels like home when you walk in. As we were looking over the menu, a platter-sized cinnamon roll with a candle was being prepared by one of the ladies working the front of the house, a group who get together there weekly was celebrating a birthday and it was a surprise for them. I joked “is that for her (my mom)" as her birthday is the following week.
We ordered our food and sat down, within 5 minutes we had mom’s Clark’s Club (minus avocado) and my French dip. Then they surprised us both with a cinnamon roll and a purple candle, the two female servers and myself sang happy birthday to mom! As we began to eat, I was critiquing my food, the bread was soft and soaked up the perfectly flavored au jus. The house made chips are worth just ordering by themselves and that dough on the cinnamon roll was sweet, airy and perfectly baked. I would put money down by stating that cinnamon roll beats Cinnabon way outta the park, it’s divine! The huge cookies we saved for later are made from scratch (sharpie marker for size reference) and felt so soft, they did not disappoint. Mom’s critique on her sandwich and chips “superb!”
The kindness shown to us really went above and beyond. I thanked them for making my mom feel so special, and made sure they knew that everything was...
Read moreWas excited to come here after reading the good reviews about the tasty items to be had. I am somewhat of a sweet connoisseur and I get excited about new bakery places so I was looking forward to trying this place. I placed a to go order and went to pick it up and I waited for several minutes while the cashier casually chatted with a couple who was placing their order. A back of house staff asked if I needed help as I was standing there and I pointed to my to go order which was sitting on the counter. Finally I paid for my french toast and cinnamon roll with a kids grilled cheese and fries. I grabbed what looked like a day old coffee cake. When I got home a few minutes later the fries were soggy and cold. The cinnamon roll french toast was ok but seemed to just be made in the shape of a cinnamon roll with cinnamon on top rather than an actual cinnamon roll which some places make. I saved the cinnamon roll for the next morning and it was pretty bland aside from the sweet frosting on top. The coffee cake was equally bland with overly sugary crumble topping. Overall pretty disappointed with mediocre food. Might go back and try something else but idk. Hopefully...
Read moreClark's Fork was a suggestion from a friend and they were spot on. They have amazing sandwiches, and a large sit-in dining area that provided a cool, industrial feel for having a nice, long conversation. The dining area was large enough that we sat off to the side for privacy. In fact, Clark's Reuben was the best I've ever had. The meat was flavorful and the cheese was gooey and delicious. The rye bread was crisp on the outside and a delightful springy and firm texture on the inside. The restaurant was clean and fresh smelling, and the employees were extremely friendly. The homemade potato crisps were perfectly seasoned and crunchy, but not too thick like some brands (which makes them tough). The service was fast. Overall, I'd suggest Clark's Fork as a quick lunch or dinner, with the ability to sit-in if you need time for a conversation. I haven't tried their breakfast, but looking...
