Gerardo's Authentic Mexican Food — Restaurant in Spokane

The one on Monroe is sooo much better. I was so disappointed. $200+ straight into the trash then I had to order pizza. I don't understand why this location's food is so much worse, especially since I saw the same person who managed Monroe, at Francis. The Verde tasted moldy, and was so hot/spicy, I could have drank a bottle of Tabasco and it would have calmed the heat. The red sauce on the enchiladas, wet burrito, and chile rellanos, was not only completely off, but also tasted scorched. My street tacos came in a hard shell, and those tasted stale. The horchata was even messed up! The chicky at the counter taking orders was too into her phone to pay attention to her job and I had to reorder missing items several times. Ridiculously enough, I have literally ordered the same exact order at the Monroe location hundreds of times, and it only cost $78 and some change instead of $200+. I've always had amazing food and service at the Monroe location, so maybe my expectations were too high? Considering I tried every item and couldn't get past the first bite, (second bite on the first item but Verde added) and the dogs wouldn't even eat it, I'd say the staff need to be replaced so the name and brand of Gerardo's doesn't get completely ruined. They clearly don't care. When I called to ask for a manager, someone tried pretending to be in charge. She obviously didn't know that I knew otherwise. I hope someone, actually in charge, reads this and corrects the major issues and responds, to let me know that things are improved. I hate writing this extremely negative review, but I don't know how else to get the owner's attention. I hope to change this review in the future to a positive one. Until then, I'll continue to drive to the Monroe location, if I want good food for a decent price. I enjoy drinking Modelo while waiting for my to go order to be finished anyways. Go by there today! Just stopped by and made two new orders. Their line was short at 12:34pm for the moment. And am never disappointed. Tried two new dishes for me and friend. Prior visits I was here i ordered the Chimichanga Plate for less than $13, and was surprised how big the portions were. Staff was very friendly and polite. I will be eating here again. Follow up review: I have now been to this resturant 3 times. Food is always delicious, great prices, large portions, and friendly staff. Went to this place twice first time I ordered the 2 burrito meal, 2 taco meal, & a side of chips & salsa & they didn't give me the chips or salsa. The second time a day later went to this place & ordered 2 of the two taco meals along with a side of chips & salsa & didn't get the salsa this time. Not only did they charge me for the chips & salsa the second time they told me that when you order chips & salsa they put chips along with Pico degio on the burritos (which they didn't & why would I want chips on my burritos). They wouldn't even make it up to us nor even apologized for it. So be very careful about this place & check your food before leaving the restaurant becuse I don't want you too loose...
