I came here with my work team for our morale event and to try out restaurant week. This location has plenty of parking and the building is large, there were plenty of seating available. We all tried the restaurant week menu. I ordered the mango lassi. My favorite drink, not too sweet , creamy with a touch of mango. I chose the Somosa chaat, the pick three curry ( butter chicken, chicken korma, and beef curry) with the rice and naan was additional. For dessert I chose the carrot cake with vegan cream cheese frosting. The samosa chaat was huge! So flavorful, the tamarind sauce was spectacular, it has a bit of sweetness to it. I enjoyed the whole thing, although a little large for an appetizer. I think it would be a great idea if the samosa chaat were mini size, especially paired with the chickpeas. It does have a god kick of spice to it. My favorite of the three curries was the butter chicken, they were all six ounce curry servings, just enough for a few pieces of meat to sample different flavors. The rice was nice and fluffy. The naan dipped in the curry sauce is my favorite, I could just eat naan and sauce. I do wish the naan was more thick and fluffy, it was more like a tortilla. The three curries with the appetizer was plenty of food for two. I had plenty of leftovers and the curry leftover for the next day was even better! The carrot cake was moist, with bites of nuts and carrots throughout. The vegan cream cheese was amazing, not overwhelmingly sweet like regular cream cheese frostings. Overall one of the best carrot cakes I’ve had. Restaurant week was a great opportunity for me to finally try this place, and Indian food!

Chicken pieces in ‘Veg Biryani’ We have been on a trip to Spokane and Couer D’Alene. We decided to stop at this place called The Mango Tree restaurant at N Nevada Street. The service was super slow.Hardly any one was there at restaurant but being a chain of few restaurants around here we made the worst decision to stop here. We ordered a kids meal and some veg Biryani for us. The kids meal was ok but when we started eating the ‘VEG’ Biryani ,my husband found a few pieces of chicken on his plate. When we called the staff and chef ,The chef (Seemingly a mexican origin guy) looked unapologetic about it and just said we will replace. We had no more guts to try any more dish in this restaurant with such a chef in place. Btw when we called the chef I heard the staff talking among themselves that the chef is not ready to come so I am not even sure if the person who came out was the chef or just another staff member. The female serving us did apologise and waived the bill for anything that we had until then. But we deeply regret going to this restaurant and feel so angry about our whole experience. Please refrain from going here incase you are a vegetarian 🙏🏻

We had never tried Indian food before but we were excited to stop in for lunch as we had heard good things. We tried the platter sampler, it was a good start to our experience. A lot of spices we don't have in our normal lives that were unique and flavorful. The chutney/sauces were unique and paired with some of the samplers. I was unsure what to dip in sauces so tried both with each. One was a month and the other a sweeter sauce. Naan was excellent with the butter sauce! Unfortunately we ran out of time to try our main course, the waitress was great and did a to go on the main and comp'ed us the sampler as she felt they were at fault for the delay. Excellent customer service even though we didn't feel it was their fault since we were on a limited lunch hour. Still all around a good experience from start to finish and we plan to come back soon! They have a bar, TV's and the overall inside is well put together with rusty and distressed wood decor. Would make a great place for gatherings and large enough for bigger parties with tables and booths. Went out here again, still great service and atmosphere! Updated 12-17-22

I heard RAVE reviews from everyone I know about Mango Tree, and after tonight, I can safely say, not worth your time and money.

Firstly, I have a little pet peeve about how the menu was worded. The ‘entree’ section really means: meat cooked in a tandoor and served with undressed salad and rice. It was alright, a little bland, but fine overall. However, the menu said nothing about tandoor, which made us expect something else, and because of our bad server who never explained or interacted with us about the menu, we were very disappointed.

Our main concern though was our young female server, who didn’t provide us good service and literally only spoke to us 2x the entire night. She never offered us drinks or appetizers after we sat down until, finally, we waved her over. Then, after we ordered our food, she didn’t check up on us a single time. Instead, she’d continuously walk by very quickly and never make eye contact (it made it very difficult to get her attention). At the end of the night, she didn’t offer desserts or ask if we wanted to pay. Instead, she wordlessly brought the check and left before we could say anything more. Her impatience was annoying too since we wanted to split the check, which she didn’t initially, and we had to wait until she returned to request she split it. Then she left AGAIN without asking us how we wanted to split it! It felt like we were never actually served, instead we had to get her attention and request everything.

I was really excited to take my friend to Indian food for the first time, and instead I was very disappointed and a little...
