Well another QSR in Springhill has hit the point of no return. Sunday my wife and I went in to order lunch (130pm 'ish). Drive thru was backed up. Lobby had 1 person waiting on their order, another single gentleman in front of us and then us. After 10 minutes of standing there watching employees walk up to the register, no acknowledgement that any of us were there, and going back to the back/drive thru window. Another employee came in to the building, clocked in on the register and yelled back you need to override, then immediately went to the back with no acknowledgement. Then the single gentleman turned and said to the other customer waiting, you have ordered, yes? The reply was I had waited over 10 minutes and it's been about 15 now for my food. At that moment another associate came up and I asked politely if there was someone working the counter? To which he very rudely said, "we know" grabbed sauce and walked away. At that moment another employee who I can only assume was the manager based on uniform came up to the man at the counter and also very rudely looked at him and said, "Yeah?"
I looked at my wife and said politely but loud enough for the manager to hear, "We're leaving, not buying food here with that attitude and we won't be back."
I get it. People have bad days. But here's the thing. I worked in QSR for years, front line, cashier, drive-thru and management have been forward facing to customers my whole life, even now in my IT job - And you just don't treat people ugly. It was apparent that everyone was miserable and no one wanted to be there. I attribute this to poor management and poor wages, which has been exasperated since COVID. There is a reason restraunts around our area have become so horrible in their quality and service and not all of it is pay, most is poor management; and it appears Arby's is now at the top of the dung heap....
Read moreIt was s Sunday, at noon. The line wa out the door, but since this Arby's is very small that's not really the problem. The staff of 7 or 8 people couldn't get the orders correct. Customers were asking for refunds. It took 30 minutes to get our food and this is after our offer was wrong. While waiting at the counter another customer's order was place on the counter by employee. The customer said, this was to go. The employee said, oh my bad! He then grabs some bags and starts placing the food in the bags. He drops a chicken tender on the counter and uses his bare hand , that he had just touched the cash register and money with to put back in the container. I spoke up and told him, you can't do that. He was so flustered, I thought he was going to cry. My advice don't eat here, we unless you want to get sick, ...

Second time. My granddaughter went in to order and they acted like she was not standing at the counter. When they finally waited on her 3 cars had went thur the drive thur. I finally went in and the older lady behind the counter said a whole bunch of other orders were before her. Knew it could not be because of the length of time I had been waiting. She first told me I would have to wait,I told her to give me my money back and she then got my food. It doesn’t matter that she was young girl at the counter wait on her like you would an adult...
