Con’s: Customer service is subpar. Patrons should be warmly welcomed upon arrival and offered a menu. There is a chalkboard w/ a few items listed but not everything is there. I asked if the daily special came w/ sides and got a “the menu right there”. This could be avoided by just saying “hey, here’s a menu let me know if you have any further questions!” The daily special comes with a drink but i was not asked what I wanted and had to bring it up when I grabbed my bag because it didn’t seem like I was ever going to be asked. If someone orders a meal that comes w/ a drink, after they give the order say “this meal comes w/ a drink, what would you like?”. Wasn’t asked if I wanted any condiments w/ my meal and not given a straw. 3 people came in while I was waiting to order and two left because it took so long for her to come from the kitchen to attend to the guests. The vibe isn’t welcoming at all. I’d suggest hiring someone to run the front because bad customer service makes people not want to come back.
Pro’s: wait time wasn’t too bad, about 15mins because it’s made to order. The chicken was seasoned well, and all the food was warm. Area...
Read moreI was excited to surprise my husband with lunch from Dab's. We've never eaten from here but based on the reviews I didn't think it would be bad. Unfortunately, it was terrible. To began upon enter the restaurant the door chimed and the was a lady in the cook window. She made eye contact but didn't speak. I wated at the counter 5 mins past nothing, I said hello. She yelled I'll be with you but another 5 mins past and nothing. A guy walks in and she politely greets him and appears from the back. She was rude in her tone while asking questions to locate my order. The food was worst. The waffles were dense and soggy. They were colored with red food coloring, which is not the same as red velvet. The banana pudding was definitely spoiled and the sweet potato pie was old. The chicken wings were good and hubby liked the tea. So for $32 we got 6 wing (3 each), sweet tea, and terrible...
Read moreI stopped by yesterday (3-22-22) before 2 pm. I try to go out of my way to support Black businesses. I lived in Spring Lake years ago & planned to patronize this business & one other one before I hit the road. I'd already placed my order at the other restaurant when I came here.
Unfortunately after waiting 10 minutes & still not being served, I left. I was in Fayetteville for a funeral but had to drive back over two hours to get back to work. I was looking forward to trying the veggie plate & some desserts, things I could eat while driving. The lady in the kitchen did acknowledge myself & the man with his daughter who came in behind me. She was preparing orders, but just like lunch time tends to be busy for most restaurants, some of us are on a schedule & can't afford the wait without an order being placed. Though I was disappointed, I'll try again the next time I'm...
