Panera Bread — Restaurant in Spring Township

I’ve gone to this location many times but the last time was awful due to the employees wasting time on their phones instead of making orders.

My last visit was 11/21 around 7-8pm and it wasn’t busy the night when we went. There was only one other order on the screen that shows the customers what order is being prepared. I had a very short and simple to go order, it was a signature take chicken sandwich with chips and a bottle of water. It took them 30-40 minutes to make it and again there was only a total of 2 orders on the screen, mine and one other person’s. After waiting a long time by the front counter my husband and I went to the back area where you can see the kitchen and employees only back room. The door leading to that back room was half open. There wasn’t a single employee in the kitchen for awhile and after some more time passes my husband and I see 2-3 ladies come out from behind the door in the back room and all of them have their phones in their hands, screens lit. They quickly put their phones in their pockets and once they see us one of the ladies comes up to us and asked what order we’re waiting for. I told her which one and she immediately start boxing and bagging up my chicken sandwich. It only took her seconds to complete after coming out the back room with her phone in her hand so it was obvious my meal had been done but they were far too busy on their phones instead of...

Worst Panera I’ve ever been to, consistently and on more than one occasion. Apparently “To Go” order means “Throw random stuff in the bag because we won’t have to correct the order”. I just ordered a corn chowder bread bowl and a tomato soup and grilled cheese. I got a grilled cheese, 2 cups of broccoli cheddar soup, and no bread bowl. I’m bewildered at the poor service. No effort was made to ask me if I was okay with replacements, assuming they ran out of ingredients. The total value of what I received is far less than what I paid for. I called the store at 8:02, which is when I got home, to speak to a manager, and the phone rang for 3 minutes and then stopped ringing. I have my qualms with their hours being altered, but I understand that with labor issues right now, it is what it is. However, I know that there are employees there at 8:02, as I’ve been turned away multiple times around that time. The receipt says “Order checked by [nobody]. Accuracy matters. If your order is not right, please let a manager know.” Please prove that accuracy matters, and also pick...

Food is great. The new menu has some options with good taste. As usual they have a very nice bread types which make their sandwiches taste unique.

Service was so good. Easy to order through online app or in store kiosks or order in person. Lot of options like dine in, take away etc. Dine in can also be placed through app as well. Once the order is ready, they keep the dish ready and we can go and take with our comfort. Rapid pickup also available.

Tables were free and lot of tables available to sit and enjoy the food. Outdoor seating also available. Their Soups and sides are also unique and must try menu items. Side can be chosen with 4 options such as Apple/Chips/Bread etc. Chips were so good and bread is also tasted good which is perfect for soup. For soup, they are giving reusable steel spoons which is sustainable and in mobile app orders also it suggests to bring our own utensils to avoid the wastage and make environment friendly which so nice of them.
