The visit to this restaurant was interesting to say the least because I've seen the previous business (Strip View Café) every time I/we traveled on Rainbow Blvd, and have been wanting to try it out, but failed to do so in the past several years. Recently, we received a special gift from a friend and Realtor for some pancakes and coffee at Astra Café and on 9 Jan 2025, we decided to use the free voucher. When I looked up the location of this restaurant, I was a little puzzled because we've passed this area numerous times and I didn't recall seeing this restaurant. However, after digging deeper into it, I realized that Astra Café is the new Strip View Café. So without knowing it, we were given the opportunity to finally try this restaurant by sheer coincidence.

When my family and I walked in, I quickly noticed how nice, quiet, and cozy it was in the restaurant. Although we didn't opt to sit outside (it was too cold and windy), I did notice how relaxing that outdoor seating could be while having a great view of the Las Vegas Strip (from a distance). The temperature in the restaurant was a little cold, which made me wonder if they even had their heater on...but we survived without frostbite. The restaurant's décor was nice and with the exception of it being cold inside, it didn't take away from us having a pleasant and "comfortable" experience.

The service was great; our main server, George, did a good job and operated at a fast pace...which is always appreciated when you're starving. We ordered the Pumpkin Chai Latte, Coffee, Pancake Combo, side of Waffle Fries, Frittata w/Spinach, Potatoes, Chicken, and Mozzarella (supposed to be Goat Cheese), and another Frittata w/Tomato, Onion, Spinach, and Potatoes (supposed to be Mushrooms). The "supposed to be..." statements were the only hiccups in our order, and although the Frittata was somewhat new to me, I can't say I am a huge fan of that entrée. I am more of an omelette guy, to which I was disappointed that they didn't serve omelettes - but it's always great to try something new. Everything else that was served on our table tasted wonderful.

The prices were very reasonable and I highly respect this business for their continued support to the active men and women of the Armed Forces, including its Veterans - thank you for that! Overall, I liked this restaurant, as depicted in my 4-star review. There were a few things that prevented it from being a 5-star experience, but it wasn't a show stopper for me either. Their menu is robust so I am willing to try some of the other items on their lunch menu down the road. For now, I'm not itching to run to the front of the line to try this place again anytime soon, but I am recommending this restaurant to everyone - support...

Location is a bit unusual for a food place. It's in an office complex so it doesn't look like a restaurant/cafe from the outside. It has a simple yet elegant covered patio located near the entrance. Pretty cozy and welcoming.

It's been quite some time since I visited this cafe. Came here with two friends on a Saturday morning and had a good time. We had the Four Cheese Lavash Pizza and Waffle Fries. Then I ordered a glass of Iced Black Coffee for myself. I also got to try the Caesar Salad. The iced coffee was really good. It was smooth and refreshing and it had a good robust flavor. I was impressed with the pizza. It was delish! The dough was incredible. And the combination of the cheeses was perfect. I find myself craving for it from time to time. Salad tasted fresh. The waffle fries were seasoned and cooked perfectly but the serving size was small.

The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Service was great.

If you're looking for a place to dine al fresco and enjoy good food, this is the perfect...

I was underwhelmed here. I was expecting a great new brunch spot given the photos I saw. I ordered the Belgian waffles and the avocado toast. Both were good and matched expectations in terms of looks based on user photos. My drink, the Dragon Drink, was "okay", it was a little too sweet for what I expected, but that's more on me than anything else.

My cousin ordered the French Toast and I didn't look homemade, at all. Or, at the very least, partially made. I looked like Texas toast run through a toaster (a little too long, to boot) and her Turkey Sandwich plate came with five waffle fries. The value of what she paid versus these plates was inconsistent.

The atmosphere was nice and calm, but didn't match the vibe of a brunch spot at all, but mostly a quick cafe, but lacked in a uniform "theme". There seemed to be a little bit of everything by way of decor and therefore didn't provide any sort of overarching theme. It wasn't terrible, by any means, but simply...

Stumbled across this on Sunday morning and decided to give it a try. They opened at 10am and I decided to eat outside on the patio, thankfully there was a breeze but you do have the options to eat inside too, very cute vibes even inside. If it wasn't for their banner I could've easily missed it driving by,but the colors caught my eye and flipped a b**** and found parking right in front(it's right on the corner with Dutch Bros and a gas station with other office style buildings). Waiter was attentive and always bowed when done, which I thought was very nice and polite. Food was good,I had to search what a khachapuri was( Google says a Georgian dish almost like an open faced cheese filled bread) but it looked like a pastry that had cheese and bacon in it... definitely something perfect for on the go. I also got croissant French toast with was really good and I enjoyed my chai latte and got a coffee as well. I would come again and try some of their other items listed.
