I imagine that this particular Burger King, at 5240 S Fort Apache Rd., probably won't care about my negative review with an average score of two stars. I assume that all Burger King Restaurants in the general area don't care, with an average score of between one and two-star ratings. However, with what I saw yesterday at this particular BK Restaurant, I urge you to note the filthy and unsanitary conditions and poor customer service from a disinterested manager.
I take my granddaughter out to restaurants as often as possible. Being the typical granddad, I ask her where she wants to go, even though I know the answer. But you can only take so much McDonald's, especially knowing that it's not healthy food. I went through the same routine yesterday and urged her to try [the more convenient] Burger King. I know it is no better insofar as a healthy meal, but it's a way to broaden her scope of life and food. Walking into the restaurant, I immediately noticed the dirty tables, floors, glass doors, and service counter. But to be fair, most McDonald's aren't that clean either. I waited almost 10 minutes for the customer in front of me to decide on what hamburger to order. While waiting to give my order, I noticed the young man at the takeout window pressing down on every drink (bare-handed) with his palms to place the plastic covers. That immediately turned me off as unsanitary, but I continued my order with the unpleasant woman behind the counter.
I waited over ten minutes while my granddaughter played on the slides and finally went to the front to check on the delay. What I saw turned my stomach. More of the same by the kid at the takeout window. But now I watched as the older woman dropped french fries on the counter, picked them up bare-handed and placed (actually threw) them back into a bag. I continued watching the woman throw french fries and onion rings bare-handed into takeout bags. Then I saw her grab multiple empty drinking cups with her fingers inside those cups. Those were my and my granddaughter's cups. Finally, she called out my number, and I went to pick up the order, and she told me that this was not my order. I was the only person at the counter and insisted it was my order. After a few minutes, she returned the hamburgers to the heat lamps and threw the french fries back into the tray. Then I saw her take one of the onion rings out of the bag, eat it, then return the rest to the heated tray. At that, I had enough, asked for the manager, and told him to refund my money and why. The man never said a solitary word (no apologies) and refunded my money. Someone should call the Health Department...

First, we the consumers must always be mindful that we control where we choose to spend our money. I'm not gonna spend my money here anymore!
One of my general and most important principles is be truthful--don't makeup something just to appease me--now, that's not likely gonna happen.
Tell me the truth whatever it is good, bad, or indifference. But, if you lie to my face over and over and over then we've got a problem!
I asked the counter person twice and then the counter person asked, I assume she was the shift lead or supervisor, can I have the bacon extra crispy. Both said, yes! Then I asked one more time just to be sure and the supervisor said, yes again, for which I took it as been sarcastic!
Neither of the two said anything about a FDA requirement/policy governing them about cooking duration or anything...If I have every heard a BullS#$@ line that was it!
Now, I'm getting a bit annoyed and moving in to the fast lane of angry! So, my order is ready and go to a table to check it. Because, i had a feeling...Of course, my feelings were right the bacon is raw! Not everybody likes or can handle bacon when the fat of the bacon is not cooked...YUCK!
One of the employees told me it has to do with FDA rules/guideline of cooking certain foods for a particular period of time and no longer, blah, blah, blah... Well, it might be true but I think its bullS&@#😠 This is why you're getting zero if i could, because you don't deserve a 1 star that I have to give.😡
I told him then that should be said in the first place. Don't patronize me saying yes it will be cooked crispy when you have no intentions of doing it. The supervisor/shift lead? had nothing to say so she left the counter area and let another staff member field my verbal inquiries.
I'm gonna call the store and ask to speak to a manager then I'm going contact the General Manager.
If it's an FDA requirement then they need to expressed that, and I could have ordered something else. These foolio's took that away from me.
PLEASE excuse the lengthy post but my "hind parts are on fire!" dealing with fast food staff of Burger King on Ft Apache. If I didn't need to eat then due to medication and low blood sugar I would have asked for a refund and gone elsewhere.

Read moreBurger King is my favorite fast food restaurant. I go to Burger King so frequently that I know which one makes it fresh off the grill and which one just serves whatever is already made. The only location I usually go and get Burger King is the one on flamingo and Decatur because every time I go there the food tastes fresh and hot. I live right up the street from the fort Apache Burger King location but I refuse to go to this location because I’ve never had the food come out fresh and hot especially when they have a line of customers the food comes out colder and taste like it’s been sitting out. The people in the drive-thru usually sound like they are miserable and can’t wait to get out of work. They give attitude when you’re trying to simply tell them that they got the order wrong on the screen and they assume things about the order without asking. I only come here when I don’t have time to make it down to the flamingo and Decatur location, but Every time I go to Burger King I order the same exact meal. The example of the associate in this drive-thru will always assume that I want to replace my fries in the whopper meal for onion rings and I have to always correct them that I never said to replace the fries in the onion rings, I tell them that I want a small size order of extra onion rings on the side. I’ve worked in customer service long enough to know that you should always ask and not assume. This Burger King needs to hire more associates that actually care about the food quality and customer service. Another note I only like my whoppers with cheese ketchup and lettuce only, when I had just gone back through the drive-through to tell them my food was cold one of the managers was at the window and she apologized and said she will make me a fresh food order of everything ordered. After the food was brought out to me hot, my whopper Junior had everything on it. This proves that the associates don’t care. Being a GM of F&B business for many years, it’s disappointing that after all these years of living in this neighborhood and coming to this Burger King, has not changed when it comes to food quality and customer service. If you’re going to do a “service recovery”, atleast do it right and not bring the...
