I was driving by this area with my family on New Year's Day when I had the urge to try a new coffee shop. I was traveling West on Desert Inn Rd when I noticed this business and decided to quickly turn into the parking area (don't worry, I used my turn signal, unlike many drivers in this city). Since we were stopping on a holiday, I was concerned that the business was closed, and since there were minimal vehicles in the parking lot, I thought we would be left with an unfortunate situation and had to continue our journey to the next closest coffee shop. Lucky enough, MadHouse Coffee was open and when we walked in, there were a significant amount of customers inside. A coffee shop's décor can be a hit-or-miss depending on what satisfies your needs. I can't say I was a huge fan of the décor at this place, but I know of many people that probably would love it. I was a little taken back by some of the items on display; needless to say, I am providing a courtesy heads-up to other customers that there are items (and video) not suitable for younger ages. Personally, I was shocked (unless I missed it) that I didn't see a sign/message outside to those that have children, giving those families a warning before entering. The service was good; I don't know how many employees this business has but there were just two baristas behind the counter when we stopped in. Considering the ratio between the amount of customers in the shop and the two workers, I was amazed at how fast we received our drinks. The ambiance was ok; it's definitely not my cup of tea (or in my situation, not my cup of coffee) - I prefer the more relaxing/quiet atmosphere. The shop wasn't massive, but it did provide a suitable space for those looking to hang out (there's even outside seating too). We ordered the "Michael Jackson," "Monkey Mocha," and Japanese Matcha for our drinks. Although all these drinks are traditionally blended, we were fortunate and grateful that they were able to accommodate us and made the Michael Jackson and Monkey Mocha hot. It was a slightly chilly day so I wasn't in the mood to get something cold. All three drinks were phenomenal. We didn't get the opportunity to try any of their food so my review is solely based on their drinks, service, and atmosphere. Although, I will add that some of the items in the display case did look appetizing (no, not the adult-themed items). Overall, I liked this coffee shop, as depicted in my 4-star rating. The prices are reasonable, but chances are, I won't return anytime soon. This is mainly due to location, since I reside in the far Northwest part of the city and I have outstanding coffee shops close to me. However, I am still recommending this business to everyone passing this area or to folks that live within close proximity to this shop.

I've eaten at The Madhouse Coffee 4 times now, but only one onsite. The prior 3 orders made via Postmates. To date, I've had their bread pudding, The Wannabe sandwich, The Island of Capri sandwich, and the Chicken Parmesan sandwich. I've also had their hibiscus tea and a butter croissant. Both the Wannabe and the Island of Capri sandwiches are delicious and fresh tasting on focaccia bread. Make sure you order the slow roasted tomatoes on your sandwich. Even if you're not usually a fan of traditionally bland tomatoes on sandwiches, you'll probably like these. They burst with juicy flavor and really set off a sandwich. Of the things I've tried, the chicken parmesan was the only mediocre item. The chicken seemed like it may have been previously made and/or refrigerated or frozen. Other than that one issue, the other sandwiches and item were great. I removed one star for that sandwich issue alone. The vibe for this place is, for lack of a more apt description, like a Portland Oregon hipster cafe. I understand that can be both a compliment and a slight depending on who wields that phrase, but I mean that in a positive way as I generally like the change of scenery over the bland desert we live in. If you're perusing Postmates and don't want to drive or you're nearby, give MadHouse a try.

VIBE on point!! Our fav wifi cafe. In love with this place! Super delicious vegan gnocchi, affordable prices, awesome wifing/study/work from laptop space. Outlets available. Great vibes, decor and choice of music. $3.95 Small Iced Americano, $11.95 vegan gnocchi. Wifi requires no password. Serves hookah too. They have an outdoor patio. Open 247! The bathroom is its own blacklight experience haha $5.50 Vegan blueberry muffin (warmed up). $5.50 Vegan cupcake (is like a corn bread or muffin cupcake, not too sweet, loved it!) Sandwich we got was decent too. But I'm more interested in their gnocchi, and yucca air fries. They serve dietary options from vegan to keto. Food consistency can change but we usually love our meals when Edward is working. --- For some reason, my review has been stuck in draft. Prices are from months ago which could have increased. Fyi, madhouse vegan style YUCCA FRIES are soooo good!!! It's a must here!! Staff Edward makes the best suggestions!!

had an incredibly frustrating experience at Mad House Coffee. First, $27.50 for two coffees is absolutely ridiculous—especially when major coffee chains charge far less for excellent-tasting drinks and outstanding service. When I asked for clarification on the price, Rebecca, the employee, was unhelpful and told me to text the receipt to myself because “it can break it down better than she could.” Excuse me? Don’t you work here? To make matters worse, I was overcharged by $2 for almond milk I didn’t even request or want.

The drinks themselves were a complete letdown—nothing like the flavors advertised on the menu. When I asked for a refund, explaining that the drinks didn’t match their descriptions, I was overcharged, and the overall experience was terrible, I was met with more excuses. They refused to refund me because, according to them, I had “drunk too much” (even though the drinks were still more than half full). Plus, no manager was on duty, so I was basically told I was out of luck.

Christopher, another employee, then attempted to “prove” I wasn’t overcharged by ringing up the order again—only to find that it totaled $25.53 instead of the $27.53 I was charged. It wasn’t until I pointed this out that they begrudgingly refunded me $5. But even then, they gave me back my original coffee and sent me on my way.

The entire experience was infuriating. They didn’t even offer to remake the drinks, despite my clear dissatisfaction. It makes me wonder if the initial overcharge was a mistake or something more deliberate. Either way, the attitude from the staff and the complete disregard for customer service left a terrible impression. I won’t be coming back, and I’d recommend others steer...

Ordered from here a lot in the past and had good coffee, past few times has been getting a lot worse and watered down until today was unacceptable, I can honestly say I don't think they added coffee into these drinks. Got a Vanilla iced latte that taste like vanilla water, got a white chocolate Americano and it ended up being some really dark brown drink that looks like it has regular mocha in it but we all tried it and it taste like water from the tap and no different which is very strange for the color it is. Then a white mocha which taste strong of white mocha but like it's just water as well. Called the store multiple times and nobody picked up and went to a voicemail system, which they didn't return the call either.

Will not be ordering from here again. Didn't pay 20 dollars for 3 glasses of water that took a hour and a half to get delivered to my door with post mates when they are 2 blocks down the street

UPDATE: They never got back to me on this order, I was a frequent almost every day customer, this specific purchase was almost 70 dollars with all food and drinks we got from them, you would think a daily customer would get help. No call back, did nothing about the order, and now I can promise I won't ever get anything from here again, nor anyone else in the house considering we all got coffee from here almost daily. Ignored all my phone calls, and...
