Roberto's Taco Shop — Restaurant in Spring Valley

I have been a customer here in L.V. 22 yrs and knew the owner before she passed and racism was never a trait I saw in her or her employees. She like my little boys and me. When she was alive. She would bring supplies and stop to ck in on all her shops. When I ate at this location I didn't not feel welcome. I ordered a small order and the lady an older women was at the register. We noticed that our order took longer then all the customers behind us and when the order came. We'll it wasn't as I'd asked. We all love loaded taquitos and they are 6.20 whether you have one or the other or both and less without avocado and sour cream but we asked for it on the side and when we did. It was met with attitude. She said I didn't ask for both and would be extra. My order came with 🥑 & sour cream on top and it gets a little soggy that way. I asked for it corrected and the attitude was terrible and the cook acted rude rgt along with her talking in Spanish and looking me like I was crazy. When she acted like she couldn't understand me. I proceed to ask if maybe she didn't speak Spanish because me speaking to her shocked at me as if I had 7 heads so I politely asked if maybe she didn't speak Spanish and if she was upset because I spoke Spanish to her if so I apologized. She again got upset when I asked another young lady if she was the mngr. Her name she said was Maria. I got the impression from her she was. I told her a little about how the lady treated us and said it was not ok. It to be clear was very racist and I am American fluent in Spanish 42 yr. My sons Hispanic and to be treated so bad by this lady and her cook was unexceptable. This is the 2nd time with this crew. I'll never go in the a.m. shift again. READ BELOW

On another note this restaurants night time crew is impeccable and so polite and funny. We talked and laughed and the food was perfect to order. These guys made my night better. The food was good and atmosphere welcoming.

I believe I'd still give the buis a 5 star if I didn't have the morning crew. The owner should know so I'm reviewing it as faily as possible. A buisness doesn't always reflect the owner and how they run a buis. But my review is this way because I felt like I wasn't being given a manager and don't think an owner would have heard how...

This Roberto's is right around the corner from my house me and my girlfriend go there frequently in order food especially when nothing else is open since they're open 24 hours we always order the same thing me a bean and cheese burrito with sour cream added and her three rolled tacos with cheese and guacamole tonight I talked to Beatrice ordered what we always order the same thing get home my bean and cheese burrito has no sour cream and her three world tacos has no guacamole I call and talk to Beatrice she basically called me a liar and said that I didn't ask for guacamole or sour cream and that's why they both didn't have it so I said are you calling me a liar I always order the same thing I wouldn't order it without it cuz we wouldn't eat that without the sour cream or the guacamole I've never been called a liar when someone messes up in customer service and does the order wrong or makes a mistake I just couldn't believe that she's basically calling me a liar didn't apologize did it offer to redo our order and we go there all the time it's just upsetting that she didn't even try to make it right and I was being called a liar that'll be the last time I go there me and my girlfriend which is saddening because it's right around the corner and you guys are...

You know what you're getting here. Fairly low quality Mexican food at mid-tier pricing. However, the last time when I was there and put my order in with a cashier who spoke not one word of English, I asked for a cup for water. Because everything else they have is full of sugar. So this worker started yelling at me that she had no cups for water, when she clearly did. Then the cooks came out of the kitchen and started telling me that I had to pay for a cup of water, or at least I thought what they said - since none of them spoke any English. Anyhow, the workers got really agitated for no reason and yelled in Spanish. People working there really feel like they are doing you a favor. The food quality and service has gone way down at this chain. Really no reason to come here, unless you're Mexican and do lawn work, because if you are, then that's the only time I've seen proper customer service...
