BBQ Worthy of a Texas-Sized Thumbs Up

As Texans, we take our BBQ seriously. Moving to NWA four years ago, we’ve been on a mission to find a place that truly delivers—and let’s just say, the hunt is over.

From the moment our plates hit the table, we knew we were in for something special. The brisket? Juicy, perfectly seasoned, melt-in-your-mouth good. The ribs? Super tender and a perfect vessle for the delicious BBQ sauce. And then there were the pork rinds and beer cheese—an unexpected but absolute must-try. The rinds were still crackling when they arrived, fresh and light as air, while the beer cheese was rich, balanced, and the perfect dipping companion.

Our daughter gave two thumbs up to the mac & cheese and grilled cheese, and as parents, we appreciated the thoughtful service. Our waitress, Ireland, was friendly and accommodating, even spelling out d-e-s-s-e-r-t to save us from a potential sugar-fueled negotiation with our kiddo. And speaking of dessert—though we had no room left, the incredibly kind owners gave us a sample of what might just be the perfect chocolate chip cookie.

Portions were generous, prices were fair, and the overall experience was top-notch. And as a bonus? There were tampons in the women’s restroom. Small details like that show just how much they care about their customers.

Great food, great service, great people. We’ll...

The staff and owners here are absolutely amazing! They genuinely care about their customers and go above and beyond to make sure everything is just right. The food? Always delicious! You can tell they put so much love into what they do. They’re also some of the most down-to-earth people you’ll meet, and they make an effort to get to know everyone who walks through their doors.

My husband and I used to visit their food truck all the time, and we were so excited when we saw they opened at location! The atmosphere is super welcoming, and it’s even dog-friendly! If you check out their social media, you’ll see they’re always hosting fun events like open mic nights, bingo, and more!

Their BBQ is hands down some of the best we’ve ever had—and don’t even get me started on the loaded chili AND the beer cheese and chips… it’s my all-time favorite!

They’ve really got something special going on here. If you haven’t checked them out yet, do yourself a favor and go—you just...

Went here with high hopes, but left with a terrible impression, disappointment, and ultimately generated some food waste (which we hate doing). We ordered a two meat plate with brisket and chicken and beans and a simple cheeseburger and fries. Total came to $34. After ordering we got buzzed just for the server to tell us there was no brisket, but there also was not a price adjustment or refund for a change to a cheaper meat. Then when our meals came, the two meat plate was essentially a pile of grease with some pulled pork lumped in and half a chicken thigh. The burger was in a similarly poor shape with wilted lettuce, gristle around the patty, and the meat tasted as though it was old and salted to cover it up. We ate a few bites but ultimately could not finish and threw the majority away. We honestly in good conscience cannot recommend the food here to anyone and you'd get more for your money going to McDonald's for a burger and Dickies...

Yankabilly was amazing. First time there, the atmosphere was vibrant, the hostess was lively, interactive, and positive. She brought a fun, energetic, and engaging attitude to the table, while greeting others with the same enthusiasm. The owner (I presume) was very kind, friendly, and attentive as well. Very personable people, very good atmosphere, definitely impressed with everything. 10/10 will recommend, anyone looking for a positive eating experience and environment with amazing staff, Yankabilly is your place. They invited us to join for their game nights, live music evenings, and much more. Best food I have had in a long time, they have set the bar high! The prices were also very reasonable, you definitely get what you pay for, great portions and great taste! Also, you HAVE to get the pork rinds!

Very friendly staff. Mac n cheese was pretty good. Beans were not meh. Loaded baked potato salad was ok. I got the 3 meat plate to try them all out. The meats were very tender and pretty good. The friends and I seemed to taste a bit more salt with the meats, or else they would have been really good. We ended up eating about half on the meats. I tried the 3 different street tacos, and they were all very good, recommended for sure. Banana pudding was very good. All together, it was a pretty decent meal.

This is the best barbecue I've had in Northwest Arkansas! The chicken fell of the bone, the brisket was the perfect texture, and the pork had amazing flavor. Both the mild and spicy sauces were tasty. The price is VERY reasonable for the price, too! The banana pudding was absolute perfection and worth driving down from Rogers for on its own. Give this place a shot and find your new favorite barbecue spot.
