I am an avid fossil collector. I have over 89 different fossils, most of which I found. When I was visiting, I saw they had “Dino bones” for $10. When I asked where they were, he showed me two GRANITE stones. When I said those are rocks, not fossils as fossils are smooth compared to the rough texture of rocks, the shop owner said get out. I know for a fact that any reputable shop owner, as I have met many, would be able to say exactly what you need to know and would be able to tell the difference between a rock and a fossil. Also, the cheapest dinosaur bone you can buy from any fossil and rock shop starts at $79. Another thing is, they claim they find their items locally. They have several Megalodon teeth that are found along coastlines around the world. Not in a land locked state that wasn’t even near water that long ago. A couple of those teeth were actually from Morocco, and they have very strict laws and regulations regarding the exportation of fossils, every country does. This store is selling rocks to people and calling it a “Dino Bone”, which is, essentially, ripping people off who don’t know any better. And when confronted, the owner gets very defensive. I do not recommend this store for any fossil inquiries or buying fossils from. It honestly is a 1/5 rating. Don’t believe a word they say about...
Read moreI do most of my crystal and rock shopping online and where I live in Missouri so idk if just being in Arkansas is different somehow but I found the 2 shops I went to out here to be very overpriced. Like $10-$20 overpriced per item…even the tiny tumbles are ridiculous. I was actually shocked that these stores are still open with these prices. There were SMALL spheres and towers marked $36+…I’ve seen plenty of the same kind selling in my hometown for $17-$22…if you are new to shopping this stuff and don’t know better on pricing, just be careful. There was plenty of variety and a beautiful selection. I will...
Read moreMy boyfriend, and I are major crystal lovers and stopped into the shop to browse the selection they had. I was really hoping to purchase some new crystals to add to my collection. However when my boyfriend was trying to talk about his interests in crystals and some of what he had in his collection the man behind the counter accused him of trying to sell to him. He definitely wasnt trying to sell just trying to make friendly conversation. Ended up leaving without purchasing anything because of this. Definitely won't be returning if this is how he treats...
