WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! If I could give them ZERO stars, I would! We went yesterday with our kids and will never go again! Service was terrible, we sat down and tipped our hibachi cook before he even started, got seated before the table across from us did. They received there drinks and salads before us. When my hubby asked where our soup/salad was to our server he said I think we ran out I’ll check we told him the people who sat after us got there salad but we weren’t even told they ran out of salad. He failed to mention where the soup was we let it go. We had rice on our plate before our salad even came back out. Sat for 45 mins waiting for a drink to begin with and then when we drank that one we sat another 15-20 to even get our server back over for another drink. Our hibachi cook spoke almost no words the entire time even after getting a tip from us. We received our bill after they rushed us the entire time we were there. Hubby said something to our server he said he would make it right two minutes later he comes back with the same exact receipt nothing changed, nothing was done. We asked to speak to the manager the manager had a translator who was very rude and didn’t want to make anything right for us. Food was alright noodles tasted different weren’t the greatest we will just stick with the best place which is Wasabi in Fairlawn! That is where we usually go (they were booked last night) and we have always had AMAZING service. Bottom line is... NEVER AGAIN WILL I GO HERE OR RECOMMEND THIS PLACE...
Read moreSo looking at most of the reviews I seriously expected this place to be pretty good. But I honestly can say that this place is the epitome of basic and bland. I ordered their hibachi and a sushi roll. The mushroom soap that came out was pretty much beef consume soup with a couple of mushrooms tossed in. The salad was coated in this watered down salad dressing that I originally guessed was a flavorless, watery ranch but the server said it was their yum yum sauce. It definitely was not tasty or remotely close to any yum yum sauces I'd had before. But what was even worse was the actual hibachi, the meat was pretty bland and flavorless. But I guess the restaurant has a trick up their sleeves, they give you a bowl of more yum yum sauce for the hibachi. Upon request, and after some light begging they'll bring you some ginger sauce which helped alittle bit in making the entree somewhat palatable. I guess the part that really sucked was that when the waiter asked if everything was good, and we told him our opinion he went to go tell a manager who simply laughed and waved him off. If you enjoy good food then steer clear...
Read moreNot once did this Restaurant Shogun Japanese Steakhouse in Akron, Ohio mention that there would be a Gratuity automatically added to my Bill. The Server, Paula, said that she WOULD PAY for the upgrade for our fried rice and we WOULD NOT have to pay anything EXTRA that it was ON the House, however I actually PAID for that upgrade with the steep Gratuity that was added to my Bill. When I brought it up at the front desk, they didn’t know what I was talking about. Also, that Server, Paula was snooping around the front desk when I was trying to voice my concern. Paula LIED to us to CON that EXTRA right into HER pocket. I’m seriously disgusted and I want MY money back from paying that Gratuity and you JUST lost a LOYAL Customer and the Chef didn’t want to be there as he cooked our food and left and was boring.
Gratuities/tips are supposed to be a reward for excellent Service NOT automatically expected. The Chef didn’t look like he wanted to be there and the Server, Paula barely paid any attention to us except when she wanted me to...
