Well, I'm absolutely shocked.

I have come to Beth's Bake Shop since my granny discovered it, showed it to my mom, and showed it to me. I have constantly come here (right when they open) so I can buy the PECAN BARS and send them to my mom who I never get to see anymore.

Well, recently my granny died. Who also loved Beth's bake shop. But before she died, my mom came to visit. And my granny asked her to please go to Beth's bake shop to get her anything pecan before she passed. My mom has not been to this shop in awhile, but I have always recognized the woman who was working that day. I may not know her name, but I know her face. The woman had been working there for at least over 4 years with long dark hair, always in a ponytail. And to that woman, I wish you the worst. My granny who has been on her death bed wanted something from this shop, however, when my mom went in to buy something, this woman angrily told her NO! Her: "We do not have pecan bars!" in a very rude tone. We asked her politely if she could check in the back, as the older manager always would help us out and knew who we were. Her: "No! I said we didn't have any." Alright, that's fine. So we asked her if we could have ONE slice of pecan pie. Her: "No! We don't give individual slices before lunch!" There was more angry words to her sentence, but I'll spare you her rudeness. So then we finally just told her that we wouldn't come back (we have been customers of 2 family generations who have come here for years). What does she say? Word for word, "Good, we don't want your business anyway."

My granny died just a couple days later. What did she want when she was actually awake for the last time? Something pecan from Beth's bake shop.

I have never been so utterly devestated with a place before that I have visited for numerous years of my life. That my family has visited for numerous years of their lives. Not anymore, way to screw over a woman's dying wish.

I don't know your name long haired ponytail woman who's always short with me everyone I see her. But I hope you have a nice life, because your "bad day" that you thought probably wouldn't matter because you can be rude to customers all you want, way to take away a dying woman's one final wish when she was awake.

I feel bad to the nice people who work here who have to see you everyday. But your wish is granted, we won't come back. ❤️

Not like my granny could. Way to go.

Edit: My mom did tell this UNkind lady that we were trying to buy something for her mother who was in the hospital. It didn't stop her from making sure that she was "right" (sarcasm) and that we...

I was in town for work today 05-17-2025 with my Wife and Kids. After we Finished we Decided to get something to eat. After eating at the Restaurant we were at we wanted to try to find a Bakery Place to take some Goodies on the Road. We Googled Cookie places and this location popped up along with a few others close to where we were eating. We Decided to pick this location because it was only 5 minutes away and the Cookies looked good in the Pictures. Upon Arrival at 2:30 it took us a minute sitting in our Cars wondering if they were Open. The Open sign was hard to see. We finally saw that it said Open and we walked in. The Bakery is to the left as you walk in and they have a Gift Shop as soon as you Enter. We walked over to the Bakery and was Greeted by a Worker. She was polite and ask what would we like to order today. I asked her were all the Cookies Freshly made today. She said Yes I think so. Some of the Cookies didn't look Fresh but we Decided to get some anyways. After a few minutes passed I asked again were the Cookies made Today. She informed me again that the Cookies were all made today. She said we try to keep them Fresh. So I believed her because she should have known better than the Customer. After Ordering over 15 Cookies we paid $49.22. We leave and get in the Car to head Home back to Arkansas. After getting settled in the Car we start passing the Cookies around to my two Son's and my Wife hands me one as I'm Driving and she proceeded to eat some as well. I have to say we were all disappointed. We Ordered Raisen Cookies which crumbled and tasted Days old. The Snicker doodle, Chocolate chip Cookies, Peanut Butter Cookies, No Bakes, Filled Cookies and the ones that had icing on them were all old. This was very Disappointing and I must say for $49 Dollars we won't be back. If the Girl would have been honest and told me when I asked if the Cookies were Fresh I could have made a choice to Purchase. Cookies that are Sold at $1.90+ each should be Fresh at all times or the Price should have been reduced. Give the Customer that choice if they want to Purchase. This is not how a Good Business should be ran. I do hope others see this and are aware Purchasing the Cookies in the...

First I find it very unprofessional that you will quickly reply to any positive reviews but anyone that has had a negative experience you do not try to rectify or make any comments, you completely ignore the situation and could care less to even attempt to make your customer happy. We recently purchased a peanut butter chocolate cake for Christmas from this bakery, based on our wonderful experience with their peanut butter brownies, which reminded us of a beloved family recipe. Unfortunately, that was not the case. While the chocolate cake itself was incredibly moist, the frosting was overwhelming with the taste of almond extract rather than peanut butter at all, which threw everyone off. The frosting’s flavor was so overpowering that no one finished their slice and it all went to waste.

We chose this cake specifically because we were told it would feature the same frosting as the peanut butter brownies we enjoyed, but sadly, it wasn’t the same at all. For nearly $70, we had hoped for a more enjoyable experience. We appreciate the effort that goes into crafting your products, but this particular cake missed the mark for us and left us without dessert for our family Christmas dinner. UPDATE- Have tried reaching out to the bakery on several occasions and can't get anyone on the phone or a returned phone call! I was hoping with posting a review I would get a response but all I've gotten is absolutely nothing at all. This is extremely unfortunate not only for the customers but for the business as well should have integrity and care about your customers not...

First time here today and they were really busy at 11:30. My boyfriend and I got one of the last tables. Since they were really busy, the service took a little bit longer. It gave me time to look at some of the stuff from the shop. I ordered some hot tea since it's a tea room but they brought me bagged Twinnings tea. I was really hoping that it would be loose leaf since I have that same bagged tea at home. So a little disappointed in that. My boyfriend got a tigers spice tea and didn't care for it but that's ok. He wanted to try something new. Anywho, the food was alright. We both got quiche and the soup. Soup was chicken gnocchi and it was a tad salty. Not bad though. I loved their garlic bread crisps that it came with. Those were really tasty. We also got a couple of cupcakes and it was ok.

Stopped by here today, first time going. My husband and I we're impressed by the customer service, atmosphere, and their store. The young lady that helped us was very nice and welcoming, she even chatted us up a bit. The dessert's all looked so delicious. Very clean place as well. We ordered several desserts to go and the ones we've eaten so far have been delicious (pictures does not include all the desserts we bought)! We plan on going to lunch there next time we go. They also give a military/veterans discount!! This is one place I'm going to be recommending to all my friends and coworkers. (Our order came to $25 and some change after tax with discount, there is 3 desserts missing from picture)

I have been thoroughly impressed with the cakes from Beth's Bake Shop & Tea Room. I ordered a cake for my friend's baby shower and another for her birthday, both of which needed to be gluten-free due to her celiac disease. Typically, I’m not a fan of gluten-free desserts, but Beth's creations are exceptional in taste and beautifully decorated, all at a reasonable price. The attached photos are from today’s birthday celebration at the office, where the birthday girl absolutely adored her cake, and everyone was amazed not only by the flavor but also by the intricate details of the design. I wholeheartedly recommend Beth's Bake Shop & Tea Room!
