Cap't Loui — Restaurant in Springfield

I placed an order for two boils both with head off shrimp. After getting home I noticed it was head on & my corn was under cooked. I immediately called the location to solve this issue. I didn’t have a way back to the restaurant so I sent the food in a uber because the manger told me they needed the food back before they could replace the order. I asked for any accommodations due to this inconvenience I was no because the head off is cheaper than head on. Which is literally only 5 dollars extra.

When it was time for the order to be sent back it took them an extra 20 mins just to get in touch with them because the phone was “ busy “ what business has there only phone line busy & going straight to voicemail for 20 mins! I had to ask the driver to go inside to pick up the order. Only for her to get inside & they finally answer the phone because she mentioned it. At that point I already wanted a refund & all the manger did was apologize not one accommodation for this huge inconvenience! A $50 dollar food order turned into $100 for their mistake! Now if it took them 20 mins to just answer the phone. You can imagine my food came to me lukewarm with the stingiest snow crab I’ve ever seen! I will never come to this location again ! I asked for extra garlic & old bay in the bag and I didn’t receive that either! Then for the manger not to accommodate me at all ? & tell me because of 5 dollars she can’t ?! Yeah I will not be back! WASTE OF TIME & MONEY !

I came with a party of 8 and we got an assortment of food. Here’s a breakdown of what we got.

For apps, we got the lemon pepper and Cajun fries. The Cajun fries are a classic but the lemon pepper was my favorite. It was slightly sweet and salty and super crispy.

We got an assortment of seafood and sides for our bag- snow crab legs, shrimp, clams, crawfish, sausage, potatoes, and corn. Get the Cap’t Loui sauce! The medium spice level is delicious and just the right amount of spice. You HAVE to get an order (or two) of the garlic noodles. They are DELICIOUS. I like to mix some of the sauce from the seafood boil into my noodles. They are supppper garlicky, in a good way. The noodles are cooked Al dente and it’s the perfect combo with the seafood.

For dessert, do not skip out on the funnel cake fries. It comes with a chocolate sauce drizzle, dusting of powdered sugar, and a scoop of vanilla ice cream. It’s the perfect way to end the meal. It balances out all the seasonings and garlic you had in your meal.

As for service, the employees were very attentive and took very good care of us. They were always around when we needed something and quick to help clear things out of the way when we were done with them.

I’ve been to the Fort Lee location but the new Springfield location is closer to home so I will be a frequent customer when I’m craving good seafood. The restaurant is very clean and there’s even mouthwash in the bathroom to help with garlic breath after your meal. Our...

Unfortunately I have to give this place a one star especially for the price that I paid is not even worth it I went there and got a seafood boil to go which was one cluster of crab legs half a pound of shrimp a pound of crawfish and one lobster tail it came with sides corn and potato and I picked the captain Louie sauce now here's the thing for the type of money that I paid for this this was absolutely trash to me the shrimp was oversteamed the lobster tail was overstained it was tough we all know Seafood is not supposed to be tough it's unfortunate that this place is really overpriced for nothing I will stick to certain Seafood boils at different seafood spots this one was horrible I know for me I will not go back I know there may be mixed reviews but for them to not even have one customer this particular time on a Friday you would think it should be no reason why they could not steam everything accordingly and not over steam things but I will not be going back because 103.00 for that not even worth it and the lady even said you're going to love our food well I beg to differ this was money down the drain but it was a lesson learned first-time...
