This has to be the worst chunk e cheese experience we've ever had to preface this I would like to say normally we love chuck e cheese and even had my sons 4th birthday in the staten island location. we visited the union location yesterday around six ( Wednesday) it was surprisingly packed but that wasn't the issue. The staff was horrible even women who seemed to be the manager had a terrible attitude my 5 year old continues saying he doesn't want to go back because the lady was so mean. For what's supposed to be an arcade there aren't really that many games which is really odd because older photos show tons of games. Looks nothing like the pictures they should be updated. The crawling structure is gone in its place is a few trampolines that cost 10 dollars to go on. The biggest issue in my opinion is the staff corporate needs to do a major staff switch or some training or incentives I don't know but something needs to be done. The manager was mean as I mentioned very rude and of course the staff follows the example given the trampoline attendant sat on the edge of the trampoline area on his phone the whole time kids where literally jumping into each other and climbing the netting he couldn't care less he even walked away from the full trampoline to place his phone to charge. We ordered " large " boneless wings for 16.00 dollars we where given 6 the women who brought it looked around confused I waved she came threw it on the table and walked away I've never experienced something like that she threw them down so hard again my five year old asked why are they so mean here. Last but not least as someone who works in the food service industry with a food handlers license the kitchen had to be the scariest part as I walked by the pickup window on my way out I saw the kitchen staff eating the food as they prepared with gloved hands meaning the same gloves they used to place food in there mouth that touched there mouths and lips where the same gloves that touched your food they where also sitting on food prep stations you know the area they put your food on absolutely disgusting. I'm not sure if there's a lack of training if the staff doesn't care or maybe not enough corporate pressure but something needs to change between the physical danger and the bio warfare going on in the kitchen it's only a matter of time before someone gets hurt do to the negligence of the staff and management. I read they are short staffed but if that's the case they need to do out reach to aquire more staff and clean house. The games where also very greasy like they don't get...
Read moreI love Chuck E. Cheese and was looking for an option to send the owner here a private message. One of the attendants at the trampoline area was just very rude to my daughter. She expressed a concern to him of another child breaking one of the rules that are displayed and he responded to her by saying, "I don't care" and rolling his eyes. I am not happy about this to say the least.
Please do a better job of training and setting the expectations for the young people that work here. They are working with children at a very impressionable age and need to be much more careful with how they handle them. This may not be the best place for him to work if this is how he interacts with little kids.
While I am here, I should mention that the garbage bathroom is overflowing with paper towels. They have spilled over on to the floor as of the garbage hasn't been changed in a while. Also, the juice fountain is full of ice and red juice and looks very messy. There were also cups sitting around on 2 of the 3 games that I tried out while my daughter was in the trampoline area. This is flu season and I would love to see someone walking around sanitizing the buttons and handles on the games and clearing up the mess left behind by the children throughout the day, not just at the end of the day. I look forward to improvements in these areas at Chuck E. Cheese Rt. 22...
Read moreI won't be returning. My 3 year old enjoys the place but this particular one I was so taken back. Children were not being supervised, there were literally kids taking "shots" of soda with their head under the fountain machine with no staff or parent intervention. It didn't just happen once but numerous times throughout our visit where no intervention was done. It was congested for 6pm on a Sunday. I understand most places are congested on a weekend but the management of the facilities with the kids and lack of parental supervision needs to be cracked down on. Kids were cursing at each other, shoving each other around in the tube obstacle course and it may a very unpleasant experience for me to worry about my 3 year old being shoved down the slide. We been to several throughout the state and although this one is the biggest...there was no management on house rules to allow for an...
