Chipotle Mexican Grill — Restaurant in Springfield

Do not use the pickup lane unless you have a half hour to kill. My pickup time was 12:10 and at 12:15 I made it to the front of the digital pickup lane. My order wasn’t ready so I was told to go to the back of the line. This would almost make sense as a strategy if everyone whose order is not ready is going to the back of the line but instead I then sat in a stationary line for 25 minutes. This location is new but the Chipotle corporation can surely afford to consult SOMEONE who has even just USED a pick up window before about how they usually work. Surely it would take less time to just handle the customer at the window instead of sending them to the back because there MIGHT be someone behind that person whose order is ready. This is not how the system works anywhere else in the world. I picked up my cold burrito bowl from the pickup lane 27 minutes later than the order time I placed. I spoke to a friend who watched a mother with a baby get out of her car and console her screaming infant twice, the line was stationary for so long, and that was a week ago. Do not go here unless you want to wait an hour past the expected pick up time. I would have canceled the order but the app is ridiculous and the “online chat” says the conversation has been ended when you try to complain about anything wrong with your order. Not only did I wait over an hour from time I placed the order to the time the order was in my hands, but my order was also wrong, and had the wrong protein, and wrong toppings on both of my bowls. How is the this fast food establishment running as “fast” food when they can’t get orders out in a timely manner? Stop in today for the grand opening because this location is just up the road from work. Even thou the place was pack and people coming in and to go orders being processed Beau and his team stayed focused on each order at hand, all were friendly and positive, not only with the customers but each team member as well! Looking forward to future lunches here or if I'm in a hurry using the app and picking my food up without even having to get out of my car!
