Unorganized but okay food. The menu is way up high 3 ft behind the line to order, impossible to see what they offer without losing your place in line and some items on the food line ( like the mushrooms) are covered so you can't see what to order that way either. The workers were nice and helpful but the manager kept micromanaging them making ordering and paying difficult. We paid, twice, and they didn't bill us correctly. They have many different prices, and extras, and the manager kept correcting what I told the cashier we got, and they didn't end up even ringing up the right items the manager was so worried about add on's, we got avocado rolls, rang as avocado rolls and then charged $1.50 more for the avocado in the avocado roll, so I guess they made up for it there. BTW the rice is good for the bowls, but definitely not sushi rice. We tipped but several of our orders were wrong but the staff were friendly. The manager attempted to correct the order but didn't listen the second time around either and made me feel like we were an inconvince to her establishment. She did apologize but it seemed more to get me to shut up and on my way. It was pretty busy off and on while we were there, so expect a short wait. Several people told me not to go there, but I wanted to try it as We love sushi. We spent $70. The main reason you go out is to relax, I didn't feel relaxed or that my $ was valued. I work too hard for my money. If more time was spent on customer service from management rather than pointing out add ins over and over loudly, and feel like they're more worried on nickel and diming me than me getting a...
Read more3 â¨First timers. The bowls and sushi were outstanding. We arrived with one man ahead of us ordering takeout and a seated two-top with an infant. 5 on staff (on the line), we ordered, payed and got a beverage. There were no clean tables. I wiped off a table with napkins and about then our roll came out. I commented there werenât clean tables and was met with âyeah I know weâve been really busy.â I get it, I was in restaurant biz for 30+ years. About 10mins later the other table left. No new orders came in. One young lady looked utterly confused when she came out and removed the trash from the table. She threw it away and went to the back of the house. That was it. We sat for about :40 mins and no one came out to clean tables. Two women chatted at the line (also restocking etc), two dudes disappeared. If you donât want to focus on cleanliness in the front of the house, consider having a roll of paper towels and some spray we can use to clean the tables. My husband got violently ill within two hours of eating there. We believe it was his lunch, but putting this in here bc Iâve noticed another review stating they got sick. We will go back and try it again, probably just order takeout though. Edit: I spoke to the owner who was very receptive to my review and apologetic for the experience. She was already on top of educating staff. Staff remembers the incident and accepted responsibility. Iâm super pleased with this outcome!...
Read moreWell, Craft Sushi... you've done it. I'm officially addicted to your delicious, insanely fresh poke bowls and rolls! I especially love that you've put forward the effort to source from local farmers when possible; the quality in your product shows. The combinations that you can create are endless, which keeps me coming back. And the service... I had the pleasure of meeting the owner, and all I can say is what a genuinely kind, motivated, and enthusiastic young woman. You should be extremely proud of what you've built. Craft Sushi is a welcome addition to the 417 community!
It's hard to comprehend how anyone could have a negative review of Craft Sushi. Understood everyone has different tastes, but I do feel compelled to address one particular reviewer's unwarranted, arrogant statements. The rate at which you hand out 1-stars to local businesses is at nearly the same rate as Springfield PD is handing you arrest warrants, according to public record. Perhaps instead of hiding behind your computer to attack the hard-working people of 417, you should instead channel that energy into staying out of jail? I'd also recommend contributing more good to the community, but your court-ordered community service probably has...
