To start off with, there was literally no one in the store, and the place was burning hot. Now, this wouldn't have been a problem if we hadn't returned home with our food, which by the way, was for a family of six, and been greeted with abysmal food. The cashew sauce for the cashew chicken was glorified soy sauce with just slightly more viscosity than normal, and the chicken itself after a few bites left a chalky texture in the mouth. The beef and broccoli was flavorless according to another member of my family, and worst of all, the coconut chicken my mom had had sauce that was frightfully and concerningly thick, so much so that it could not cover the chicken, and sat in large globs. Overall, I genuinely hope we caught them on a bad day, because my family's experience was terrible. We had not been there in a long time, and the last time we went, it was fine, however after this experience we are...
Read moreI keep coming back to this place over and over again. Hands down the best Chinese food and sushi in a single restaurant in Springfield. The sushi rolls are fresh and are way oversized for the price. They give you way more for your money than most places. The sushi menu is huge and they have lots of their own unique creations. I even love their cooked sushi rolls which I ordinarily don't care for. I particularly like the following options: Green Dragon Roll, Mountain Roll, Volcano Roll, Godzilla Roll, Philadelphia Roll, Spicy Salmon Roll and the Palatine Roll. I have also had their wonton soup, Singapore Mei fun, coconut chicken, and general Tso's chicken. Of those choices only the coconut chicken was good but not great. The others were fantastic. The women who run this restaurant are funny, nice, and welcoming. I always do take out but they have lots of tables inside if you...
Read moreIt took TWO HOURS to get an order of cashew chicken with an egg roll. Was not informed of the wait time. I would not have minded waiting two hours if they would have just told me that it was going to take that long., I could have left to go do something else for two hours and come back. I DID NOT RECEIVE AN APPOLOGY FOR THE TWO HOUR WAIT. I was actually bothered more from the fact that they did not care that I had been waiting there for two hours. Many customers came in after me with much more complex orders and were served with their food in about 30 minutes. My advise to others would be that if you go to Asian Hut, phone your order in SEVERAL hours ahead of time, even if you're going to be dining in. You certainly don't want to get stuck waiting there for hours to...
