I previously gave Dublin's Pass a 5 star rating. After my most recent visit, it saddens me to change it to a 2 star. My family came here for dinner while attending a weekend event at the EXPO Center up the street. We had a couple of hours before we needed to return to the event and had been really looking forward to eating at Dublin's Pass all week. Boy were we disappointed. Our waitress took quite a while to even take our drink orders and even longer to finally come back and allow us to order our food. My two daughters absolutely love bangers and mash. We are of Irish descent and I guess you could say it is in our genes. Dublin's Pass, an Irish themed Restaurant, no longer has Bangers & Mash on the menu. Really? So, my wife and two daughters ordered the Fish and Chips as we starting to worry about how long this trip was taking. I had the Gorgon Bleu. We ordered a couple of orders of the Scottish Eggs, as they are also a favorite. They came in a timely manner and were very tasty. I can safely say that, by the time our food arrived, the eggs were gone and our water glasses were all empty. We received our entrees, a water refill, and that would be the last we would see of our waitress until we flagged down another table's server to try and get someone to talk to about the Fish & Chips and to get our check. The Fish was so terribly overcooked that there were hardly any flakes of white left inside. My family ate as much as they could due to our time running out and the absence of our server. By the time we finally got a supervisor to our table to discuss our displeasure, I was forced to leave and get back to the event at the EXPO. My wife stayed behind to have a discussion about our meal. In the end, they supervisor took 20% off our check. (This barely covered one of our plates.) The whole experience really left us distraught about one of our favorite places to go out and treat ourselves. My wife has since reached out to the General manager via phone and sent an email to Dublin's Pass corporate. Both have garnered no response. I would love to change this review back to 5 stars, but our most recent experience, coupled with the no response from both the Restaurant manager and the corporate email, will keep us from patronizing this location in the foreseeable future. The only reason this review is 2 stars and not 1 star is due to the saving grace of the Scottish eggs.

Upon arrival during Dinner . We were greeted by 2 people. Very pleasant and friendly. Seated immediately. We had 5 adults. Server was very knowledgeable and answered any questions we had. He had waters at the table within 1 min of seating. When we ordered drinks. The rest of the table ordered soda. I ordered unsweetened tea. He tried to steer me away from the “unusual” tasting tea. I said it was ok as I don’t drink sodas . He was right 😂 I drank it anyway. Ordered 5 appetizers Rueben Rolls - most excellent taste just like a Rueben Scottish eggs - unique flavor. Very crispy outside and the sauce made it even better Panko Fried shrimp - can’t go wrong with perfectly cooked shrimp Triple dip - This was good. But could’ve been better . Queso was on point. Salsa was good. Was wanting more spice tho. Guacamole was my only disappointment. No salt or spice and had a very distinct lemon/orLime taste. Fried pickles Breaded fried pickles - so good . Im not a fan of the sandwich style pickles for fried . However these were top notch. Entrees included Alfredo Mac with Shrimp x2 - So creamy and tender shrimp . - Huge Portions Pub Mac - The best Mac I’ve ever tasted . You can taste all the different kinds of cheese. Pasta perfectly cooked and enough to take home and enjoy later . Fish n Chips . This place Fried Cod rivals the best around. In a beer battered fish n chips competition. Hands down this would win. I love my fish. The show string fries are on fire. Perfectly seasoned and delicious. Slaw was slaw (not a fan of slaw) but was delicious, not too much dressing and not dry. El Dublin chicken and Chorizo with the house made queso . OMG . Served with tortillas. Overall the food is very well prepared . Service was top notch. He went above and beyond every step of the way. This place was packed and he never missed a beat. The young adults ordered soda floats for dessert. Very interesting combinations . Chocolate ice cream and Dr Pepper Cookies n cream with cherry coke Vanilla and cherry coke . We will be back. On top of everything. The seat we had was by the big window over looking the street. Dinner and entertainment 😂 Pictures are not the best. ( we were hungry )

So I'm from Texas, and the first place that I hit when I'm in Springfield for awesome affordable food and a great beer selection is Dublin's Pass Irish Pub. The ambiance is super cool too, with billiards and games available! The decor invites you in as soon as you walk through the doors. Make sure to look up at the ceiling to see what looks like, hundreds of beer taps hanging like art pieces. It's a really cool sight to behold. I think my exact words when I sat down at the bar and looked up were: (Wow, Holy S#¡t!) I also had the pleasure of meeting Brooke, one of their best bartenders. She was training a nice young gal who you would never have known it was her first day. She immediately greeted me within seconds of me sitting down and offered to get me a drink and suggested some food. Brooke's knowledge of beers and the menu was superb, and she was very polite. That's why I made sure to leave a good tip. I always recognize and reward great service. Do yourselves a favor and try the Reuban Rolls appetizer. It's like an egg roll hooked up with a Reuban sandwich with a side of 1000 island dressing. 😋 That's what makes this place so great! The food is superb for a bar, and their cocktails and beer selection rival most bars I visited. If you're looking to unwind with a beer and good eats, look no further than Dublin's Pass Irish Pub in downtown Springfield. 🍀 🍻 🤪

I don’t usually write reviews, but the service I received from our server, Mak, absolutely deserves a shoutout. From the moment she greeted our table, her energy and professionalism stood out. She was warm, attentive, and genuinely seemed to enjoy her job — which made the entire dining experience that much better.

Mak handled our large group effortlessly. There were probably 15 of us, and not once did she mix up an order or let a drink run dry. She anticipated what we needed before we even had to ask — extra napkins, refills, side sauces, you name it. That kind of attention to detail is rare these days, and it didn’t go unnoticed.

What really impressed me was how calm and composed she stayed despite the chaos of a busy dinner rush. You could tell she’s used to managing multiple tables and still giving each one personal attention. She checked on us at all the right times — never intrusive, but always available. When one of our meals came out a little off from what was ordered, she immediately handled it with professionalism and got it fixed within minutes, all with a smile.

Beyond her efficiency, she has the perfect balance of friendliness and confidence. She’s personable without being overbearing and knows how to read the room. You can tell she has experience — she carries herself with that mix of hustle and grace that only seasoned servers have.

By the end of the night, everyone at our table was talking about how great she was. It’s rare when the service makes such a lasting impression, but Mak did just that. If you ever get the chance to have her as your server, consider yourself lucky — she turns a simple dinner into a memorable experience.

10/10 recommend. Give this girl a raise, a promotion, or both — she’s the kind of employee that makes people want...
