Fritz's Restaurant aka The Wagon Wheel — Restaurant in Springfield

I visited this restaurant twice once in December of last year and this past Saturday. Both times the service was horrible. The first visit we were a party of nine and everyone got their food but one person that person's food was delivered when the others were over halfway done with their meal. No discount given and explanation was the kitchen didn't start his food with the rest of the party. The most recent visit we were party of 11 in my food was brought to the table with the wrong order. The waiter argued with me as to what I ordered with everybody sitting around me agreeing with what I ordered. I was told he would have to check with the kitchen to see if it could be remade I said I was not going to take a wrong order. My steak was recooked and people's plates were off the table when my steak was done so it basically came to the table in a box for me to take home. The only discount given was the prime rib was $2 cheaper than the ribeye so he wasn't going to change the ticket.We were aIso charged for an appetizer that was not ours. I will not be back that's for sure first time shame on you second time...

We waited 5min upfront with no one in sight to be sat (it wasn't busy, they're were all in the bar conversing) Three other people came in after and we're met with the same and either sat themselves or decided to sit at the bar as no one was upfront. When ordering, cheese was offered to be on the salad, we both accepted. No mention of additional cost. Although we expected a cost as we both have worked at a restaurant before, we were shocked to see $2.50 per salad for the pinch of shredded cheese we received. Overall it was very disappointing and when we asked if it was really $2.50 for cheese on our salad we were told its usually $2.75. Not even an apology for not mentioning an up charge. we understand things have a cost but $2.50 for cheese? Give them...

Every one was friendly. Was a Friday around 6pm. There were plenty of seats available inside. There was outside seating also. Was waited on quickly. Service slowed down a little after drink order. But did not get to where it was a problem. Has the BBQ shrimp appetizer. They had quite a bit of oil in the sauce which kept the sauce from coating the shrimp. They did have a good flavor. Wife had liver which she said was good. I had the grilled chicken breast with peppers, onions and mushroom and mozzarella cheese. The flavor was good if just a little over cooked. The prices were very reasonable especially for Springfield. I will go back and recommend you...
