Didn't get to order or even stay in here for a minute. I called prior to coming and I was told I may it was okay for me to bring my dog inside to order & I'll stay outside to eat. After a hectic morning and drive I looked forward to trying this new place and was greeted by weird looks. I'm already inside and was told I would not be able to order until I go leave my dog outside. I explained I called & confirmed this as I have a baby in a stroller too it's been a day already. Both men up front made looks at each other then looked at me and said it again that I wouldn't be served till I left my dog out. If they had just said no when I called I would have found a dog sitter instead of coming all the way out here with a baby and being embarrassed like that being told to leave! Horrible communication and it was hot so I couldn't just leave my dog outside or in the car I feel bad! There was a nice lady who offered to watch my dog while I ordered but I was already overwhelmed & disgusted! Appreciate her and nice people!
To the owner who seems to be blaming individuals under their reviews I’ve read, Please do NOT give a lesson on law, I am already aware of these. As a dog owner I know not everyone if comfortable around animals, that's why I CALLED AHEAD to see what the store's policy was. The issue is the switching up that was done once I arrived after the man told me it was okay! As a busy mom lookin forward to some coffee at this nice new place It was embarrassing and time consuming when I could have gotten a dog sitter or gone elsewhere! My dog is a registered supporter animal too! The solution is tell the staff to say no next time even if someone wants to make a quick order. Rules are rules and I follow them but do not embarrass and make rules...

Every time I've made that order, the taste remains the same. Along with their exceptional food menu, the coffee is great! Although I'm not that much of a coffee drinker, it's clear that the owners know what they're doing. With a large variety of drink choices and the group of talented baristas, you're bound to find a high-quality brew that you'll like. When I first heard about the grand opening, I was ecstatic. Springfield was in dire need of a resurgence in culture. Growing up in this compact town, I've seen that is a great lack of individuality. On other hand, places like Millburn have a large variety of cafes, fast-food joints, and hang-out friendly places for the general public. Halo Roasters have combined all of these aspects into one place. The vibe that you get when you open the door is unmatchable. Along with the nicely curated playlist of songs, the aroma from the brewed coffee beans is mesmerizing. Everyone is so friendly and positivity comes so naturally. It exudes out of the owners, workers, and the area they provide for customers to converse. God knows how much I'll stop by the café. I can't wait to see what they'll do when the pandemic restrictions lessen over time. Go and grab yourself a 228 and some tater tots. I can guarantee that you won't be disappointed.
Long live...
Read moreMy review is long overdue and well-deserved: I’ve been coming to Halo Roasters since not long after they first opened, and I can’t recommend this place enough. Both the food and coffee are consistently very good and freshly prepared in-house. My top picks are the Springfield Salad, the breakfast tacos, and the honey lavender latte. The service is always efficient, warm, and friendly. As a certified coffee connoisseur, who visits plenty of cafes in the area, Halo Roasters coffee is super fresh and always flavorful. It always hits the perfect balance, walking the line between sweet and roasty. It’s a relaxing, comforting, and cozy place that feels like grabbing a cup of joe in your own kitchen. It’s charming and quaint, with artwork from local artists on the wall and kitschy cute details like mismatched mugs for in-house orders. You can see the amount of love, care, and effort that the owners and baristas put into running Halo Roasters smoothly. Not only does this place foster community, it adds to it too. I come here multiple times a week and go in the opposite direction of my job to ensure I get my morning coffee from here, and will continue to do so in order to support this business. Don’t just take it from me, come in today and see for yourself!
P.S. It doesn’t hurt that I met my now-long term boyfriend here for the first...
