We arrived at about 7 pm on Thursday, July 28, 2022. I had just ordered nearly $40 worth of sandwiches, chips, drinks and cookies at Jimmy John's. We ordered using the app and picked up our order curbside. I forgot to ask for spicy peppers to be added to my sandwich so I ran inside and asked if I could have a small side of the spicy peppers to add to my sandwich since I had forgotten to add them. The woman working at the cash register would not let me have the spicy peppers. She said I had to order another item if I wanted the spicy peppers. She said she could not enter spicy peppers in her cash register alone. I asked if she would just hand me the spicy peppers without adding it in her cash register. She said she couldn't do that. So my husband had to go back inside and buy a bag of chips to get the spicy peppers. He tried to talk her into giving the peppers to him without ordering something and she refused. This seems like a pretty bizarre policy. I can't have the free peppers that are always free after I ordered $40 worth of items unless I buy another item? What in the world? When my husband went inside, after the woman refused to give him the peppers, she said, "It keeps people from........... (long pause)............ it's how we pay for things."

Read moreTried to go into our favorite sandwich shop to get a sub for my son after baseball practice. The website, Google and the sign on the door says they are open until 9pm. We walked in at 8:50, which I realize is close to closing time and somewhat inconvenient for the closing staff- however one employee was laying on the counter while the other stared us down as I walked in with my 11year old son who just wanted a cold sub after 2 hours in the heat. Was told "sorry we already started cleaning. We aren't making sandwiches anymore." We asked why everything says they close at 9 and why the door wasn't locked to which we were told "just haven't gotten around to locking it". I hope the 2 young guys working felt big shutting down a kid just wanting a sandwich! We drove across the lot to Subway who served us with a smile. Thankfully we know this isn't a representation of Jimmy Johns, just 2 lazy kids with a crappy work ethic. Tonight, a Jimmy John delivery person parked in my reserved handicapped parking space, as had happened every time they deliver to this building when I am gone. My son, who was expecting me back imminently, went outside to ask him to please move his vehicle. He informed my son that he didn't have to, that in the state of Missouri, and as a delivery person, he had the right to park anywhere he wanted to. My son asked a little more vehemently for him to move, insults were traded from both the driver and my son. End result was that the driver pulled a sword on my son! Police were called and given the appropriate information. The store manager was called and she didn't really seem to think that this was an issue. Well I do! Corporate will be made aware of the fact that their drivers have no respect for handicapped spaces as well as pulling a weapon on a person for asking them not to park in a handicapped space.
