La Hacienda Authentic Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Springfield

This is the 5th time (And Will be the Last time) I've eaten here.

2 yrs ago I had fajitas and the meal as well as service was excellent at that time.

BUT... the 2nd, 3rd & 4th times I had the fajita meal, there was a major problem with the refried beans being Extremely Salty! (I'm not on a salt restricted diet either!!)

I asked if they changed cooks and they said no. * They also disagreed with me about the saltiness!!

This Last and final time I went there and ordered the fajita meal, the beans were Not overly salty, the rice was great as usual, BUT... the fajitas had some strange tasting spice. I asked if they changed cooks and they said "No".

The folks working here haven't been very polite or friendly to me since I complained about the salty beans on prior occasions.

Well... I ended up getting really sick after eating those strangely spiced fajitas and my stomach didn't calm down for Several hours.

So suffice it to say I'm Done with this restaurant.

There's No consistency in the quality or flavor of food, and the dark atmosphere along with the unpleasant service isn't worth it to me. 😒

I learned Many years ago that my money Will spend Anywhere so I'll keep looking for a better quality of food elsewhere.

BTW. I know what Authentic Mexican food is, and know Most Mexican restaurants in Missouri aren't going to be very authentic, but I expect better than Subpar which is what I consider LA Hacienda to be.

I wish them well, but most of all I wish they had kept things the same as my 1st and Only good meal there 2 yrs ago. 😢

Hasta LA Vista baby! ...

We tried this place on a whim, and to our surprise it turned out to be an excellent choice! The food was very fast and delicious! Do watch the plates!!! They come directly out of a salamander warmer, and they will definitely burn you if you touch them. Thankfully the staff is very careful about warning you about them. We had chicken and beef fajitas and combo burritos, and they are unlike anything we have ever had! At some point we will definitely be going back, as everything on the menu sounds delicious! The staff was friendly and knowledgeable about all of the menu items, and the manager came and chatted with us for quite a while - great experience for a "quick pick" for a fast lunch!!! We will definitely be returning, for sure give this...

Would give fewer stars if possible. My family and I eat here often and always order the same thing. For some reason this evening they would not let me order a kids meal, like I always do. Yes, I am an adult, but they have never had an issue with it before and it does not state on their menu anywhere an age limit for kids meals. I can only eat small amounts of food due to a medical issue. I spoke with the manager who said that anywhere you go adults are not allowed to order off the kids menu, I corrected him as I order from the kids menu every place I go. I will not be returning and told the manager how disappointed we were with this and that we would not return to which he responded “that’s fine.” Not how you...
