McDonald's — Restaurant in Springfield

Worst McDonalds experience. Before I get into the the reason I will never return to this location, I will give credit where credit is due. The girl who was working behind the counter was very upbeat, polite, professional, and welcomed me as soon as I walked into the building; Also the restaurant was very clean, well maintained inside and out. That being said the rest of my experience was not great. I ordered a Quarter Pounder Deluxe, no cheese, no mayo to go. After getting to my location and taking a bite out of my order I realized instantly that my meal had been intentionally messed with. The meat was broken up, covered in a ridiculous amount of salt that crunched when I bit into it, I got almost no lettuce, three slivers of onions, a scrap piece of tomato, and only a dot or two of ketchup and mustard. Needlessly to say but with the combination of everything it is too much to not be intentional, my order was unedible and went into the trash. Stopped by for coffee. They had no coffee. Said they'd make some, so I waited. Fifteen minutes later I left my table were I was completing some paper work to see about it. It was made but she had forgotten that I wanted a cup.

There was chaos at the drive thru. Confusion, loud voices, low level panic from kitchen area. Clearly the staff were having trouble getting their act together. As I was sitting nursing my boiling hot coffee an angry man came in. He said he had been sitting at the drive thru for fifteen minute. Too bad because things were just as bad inside.

On the way out I stopped at the counter for a refill of coffee. I gingerly put the lid on expecting third degree burns but instead noticed the coffee was not hot at all. I tested it with my finger. Update... Jan 2023 Ordered food. Four drinks, two were WRONG. Was told to pull around. I said not to my order is correct. Fixed the drink order. I pulled around. Waited 7 minutes with no food. Called the restaurant and said I was waiting in the drive through. She said where are you? I said in front of the big sign that says PICK UP FOOD HERE! They finally brought it out.

This is the SECOND TIME this has happened... pulled forward then forgotten about. NEVER AGAIN!! I WILL NEVER PULL FORWARD UNTIL I HAVE MY FOOD!!!

Food is consistently good. Have eaten McDonald's food since the 50s. But service Remains bad. After you pay they want you to pull around and wait. No thanks I'll wait here. You have my money so I can't leave if the wait is to long. And /or the order is wrong. This visit there was no hash browns with my breakfast meal. Ugh!! On this visit, 3 stars is generous!!!
