Hello everyone! The Critic here, just dropping in to to share my recent experience at this establishment.
Recently, my family, some friends (14 of us in total), and I were on our way back home when we decided to stop by McDonald's for lunch. Following our usual routine, we used the app to queue up our orders and take advantage of their 20% off coupon, which is perfect for larger groups. It helped alleviate their already steep prices to a more affordable level. However, just moments before reaching the store, the app unexpectedly crashed, logging out everyone in our group. It must have been a server error or something similar. As the app said, "Try reconnecting with servers." However we could all open different applications, and knew this was not our device's malfunction.
Naturally, we were frustrated, having lost our all our orders. Nonetheless, we decided to proceed, hoping that since we all had the app on our phones and the mishap was caused by their own system, the staff would still honor our discount. I must mention that similar incidents have occurred at other McDonald's locations, and they have always been more than accommodating in rectifying the situation. Regrettably, when we arrived and explained the issue, presenting the error displayed on our phones, they informed us that they couldn't apply the discount. We even emphasized that it was a McDonald's error and that our orders were ready to place when this happened. However, this had no effect, as they simply stated, "There's nothing we can do. We don't have the option to apply discounts or make adjustments."
What truly disappointed me was their lack of concern for prioritizing customer satisfaction. Instead of acknowledging the company policy, they chose to mislead us by claiming they had no ability to assist. I know for a fact, based on previous experiences and my own experience working in fast food with comparable systems, that this was not true. It left me feeling let down and extremely disappointed. If they had honestly said, "We apologize, but our company does not allow us to apply discounts in such cases," I would have been disappointed but understanding. However, they opted to deceive their customers repeatedly, lying to our faces as we asked questions.
This incident has left a lasting impression. The manager's disregard for customer service and the unfriendly demeanor of the staff, combined with their blatant dishonesty, were major turn-offs. As a result, we have decided to take our business elsewhere, specifically to Wendy's. Overall, our experience was deeply disappointing.    Read moreSometimes they are a bit slower than they have any reason seeable to be acceptable for it, but they try hard most of the time and food and other items would be as ordered. We live about 10 miles from there and get quick bites from there for trips on our way often. For 18 years. They battle addicts and homeless clean up on a regular basis and do it with a smile. Not a bashing to anyone. People regardless of life's place they are in should have a place that stands as a friendly place to get a bit of water for use of what is needed. My grandmother had a front porch open to the world if she was not home. With a facet, a gallon jug of water, and other small niceties. Medicine cabinet with individual aspirin packet. Medical supplies, bandages, wash rag, alcohol, the little green bottle of " fix it all " which most people have no knowledge of anymore. Mcdonald's, Casey's, Walmart, and the other businesses have had to alter policies and access because of the occasional out of it " acceptable " range , in that area. This is a social situation happening happening all over because of the overall condition of our society. They with a smile take this as part of their take out the trash and clean up more than a maid would as additional duties with no tip or increase in pay...
   Read moreI have gone to use McDonaldâs for over 15 years. With the new ownership, this McDonaldâs has gone from being the best one in Springfield to the absolute worst approximately two weeks ago. I waited in line for over 30 minutes with only two people in front of me, that never received their food either When I called inside, asked to talk to the manager and ask what was possibly taking so long she said weâre busy and hung up on me. I called and left a message for the general manager who never returned my call two days after that I called and finally was able to get a hold of the general manager and told her the situation , she apologized and said they were under new ownership and they were working out the kinks when I arrive today at 5 PM. There were three people pulled into the pool ahead parking spaces and two in line. I pulled to the speaker and they immediately said just to let you know itâs gonna be a minimum of 20 minutes , Iâve been through this with this McDonaldâs since the new ownership and that really means itâs going to be 30 to 45 minutes for you to get your food so I simply pulled off. The new owner really needs to contact the owner and see what they were doing because they did amazing and this new owner is absolutely running this McDonaldâs...
