McDonald's — Restaurant in Springfield

ABSOLUTELY ABYSMAL drive through service (9:30 PM on a wednesday night). It took a while for the girl to say anything when we pulled up to order. In that time, the lane next to us had 2 cars pull through. When she finally spoke, it was almost completely unintelligible gibberish. I am not exaggerating. She could not repeat our order back in any intelligible manner.

We ordered two deluxe chicken sandwiches and two large fries. She does not tell us that they are taking cash only until AFTER we order. It was the last thing she said! And it was still "Cash only, okay?"

We wait a few minutes in line and when we pull up to the window, the same girl was still speaking gibberish to us. We had to ask her to repeat herself about every time she said anything and it was still incredibly difficult to decipher what she said. She was not speaking in any foreign accent or anything, so it's not likely that she is unfamiliar with the english language (which is entirely forgivable if that was the case!). She just could not speak in a way that made sense at all.

Anyways, we pull up to the window, and she says "two-aheayeanonunbu-twolargfry." We say "what?" She says "two mcdouble and two large fries?" We had to repeat our order to her TWICE at the drive through and she STILL got it wrong. I dont even know what she thought she was saying, because whatever she said at first in gibberish sounding NOTHING like even "mcdouble." So we tell her that we got two deluxe chicken sandwiches with the two large fries. She says "okay, let me switch it." And somehow the total comes out to like $17. (That's too expensive to pay for mcdonalds, but whatever, that's not the point here.) She proceeds to take our money, not give us a receipt, and tells us to pull over to spot 1 and wait. So we wait a little longer and we get our food from a nice guy who actually spoke in a way that didnt require C-3P0 to interpret for us. We got what we ordered, but there was no receipt.

The deluxe chicken sandwiches were made very well and they were delicious 😁

MANAGEMENT: PLEASE MAKE SURE YOUR DRIVE THROUGH PEOPLE ARE COMPETENT ENOUGH TO SPEAK IN AT LEAST SOMEWHAT INTELLIGIBLE LANGUAGE TO CUSTOMERS. There was not reason for it to be such a horrible experience. Either put people at the drive through who are more qualified, or tell that girl that she needs to speak in a way that people...

I had to come edit my review. They put their restrooms back to normal. There is now a separate men’s and a separate women’s restroom!! We were traveling through again and after hearing my rant on the restrooms, my daughter wanted to go in and see for herself. So happy to see they put the signs back up to designate which bathroom is for men and which is for women!!! The staff were very friendly and my Dr Pepper was great. Thank you!

We do not live in Springfield, but because of the location, we often would stop here for something to eat and a restroom break. I will never stop again! They no longer have a women’s restroom. Only gender neutral. It states you can lock the doors if you are a family using the facilities. I do NOT find it safe for my young daughters to use the restroom alone when any man is free to be using the restroom in a stall right next to her. This is a safety concern!!!! I have no issue with a restroom for all AS LONG AS THERE IS STILL A SAFE RESTROOM FOR WOMEN. What are people thinking????? Must be people with no young daughters!!!!! I am an adult woman and do not want to be using the restroom and then washing my hands next to some man!!! I do not care what anyone chooses to think or do with their own body and what sex they think they want to be. That is not my issue. My problem is this is unsafe for young girls. I have been in restaurants where there is a hallway of individual restrooms all gender neutral. This is the safest solution and no one should feel threatened. There isn’t an outside door that can be shut and locked with a couple interior stalls. NOT safe!!!!! This McDonalds has the two restrooms with the typical door that you enter and inside the door THAT CAN BE LOCKED there are a couple stalls. IF SOMEONE IS IN A STALL THEY HAVE NO IDEA WHO IS WALKING IN AND LOCKING THE BIG ENTRY DOOR BEHIND THEM. The one restroom that was previously for men still has the urinals but the sign on the door says for anyone so a young girl could easily walk in on a man using the urinal. This is wrong!!!!!! McDonald’s is clearly too cheap to do gender neutral restrooms in a safe manner and instead just used what they had and stuck up a sign on the door stating it was for men and women. Stupid!!!!!! Stupid!!!!!!!...

Absolutely insane they let these people work here. I’ve come to this location for 5 years without problems. One morning the person at the window asks aggressively what I ordered. It was 5 am. I couldn’t remember off the top exactly. So I asked if the had it in the system. James then decided to say “nope I’m not going to serve you.” Then shut the window. When I went to the next window to speak to the other employee, he intercepted and told me again I would not be served. For what I have no idea. Because he leaves immediately, shutting the window. I then leave and drive to work while calling this E Battlefield location only to have James (the manager) answer and asks what I want. When I ask to speak to a different employee to inquire about the corporate number to sustain fiat service, he tells me falsely that I’m the only person in the store that I can talk to. James G is an absolutel abomination of a manager. No people skills. No managerial skills. Or the ability to overcome his ego. All clearly showing becoming apparent while just trying to get a fair answer out of someone who knows I’m calling in about their behavior. A disgrace. I wanted someone else and he refused. Refused service, customer service, or even an answer to my solution. Do not go here. I promise you it is not worth whatever 3 dollar item you want. Make...
