I have enjoyed this particular McDonalds for many years! In my travels around the country I typically will ask how fresh the coffee pot is, as McD's coffee is the best if it is fresh, but becomes like any other coffee if it is not. On one occasion recently at this store, I asked for a fresh cup of coffee, and didn't discover until well on the road that it was not. I tried to sip at it anyway, but realized it was a total waste. Normally in an instance like this, I would just throw the item away with a "sour" taste in my mouth (pun intended). For some reason, I decided to keep the cup and take it back to the McDonalds to let them know, especially after ordering "fresh" and after being assured that it was fresh.
A couple of days later, I took the cup back to the store. I asked to speak with a manager or supervisor. The gentleman said he would get one for me. Soon the manager, Ashley, came out and with a smile asked how she could help me.
I explained that I had ordered a large coffee and had been assured that it would be fresh, but it certainly was not fresh, and I just wanted her to know that, as freshness makes a lot of difference to me.
In the most respectful, kindest manner, Ashley told me that her boyfriend shared in my "fresh coffee" concern, and immediately she apologized for the incident. She said that at that store they do not have the "fresh" button that other stores do, and it was likely that the special request had gotten lost in the business of that hour (4:30 PM). She asked me if I would like her to brew a pot for me, if I would like the money back, or what? Her demeanor was so respectful and so kind, I suddenly felt like a real guest!
I decided that I would like a cup of coffee, and she invited me to sit down as she would prepare one quickly for me. Then - what blew me away - she came out and asked me if I would like something to eat while I was waiting! I told her no thank you, but swallowed up the kindness and royal treatment that she was offering by her question!
The coffee was delicious and the service I got from Ashley was superb. I had to pass this along, as good customer service these days is a rare commodity, having worked in business for many years. This supervisor is worth her weight in gold as she restored my confidence in the coffee and gave me a sense of importance and respect to the business she is a part of.
Thank you Ashley, and whoever hired you - your decision to hire Ashley was an excellent one!

Read moreWent here around 5:00p.m.. The line for the drive thru was backed up pretty far, and the parking lot was mostly empty, so we decided to go inside and eat. We thought it would be hot and fresh. We were wrong. First, the young man at the counter kept yawning. I guess taking our order was exhausting. Anyway, as we were ordering, I noticed the kitchen was full of people milling about, trying to work. And the counter was pretty dirty, so was the floor. Then, we walked over to get our drinks. The tea was empty. The counter around the tea was filthy. As in several days worth of dirty. I pointed out the empty tea to 2 different people and no one seemed to care. We went to sit down, and out of all the tables...only 2 were clean enough to sit down at, and we were almost the only 2 people in there. 7 or 8 of the tables had been sprayed down, like someone thought about cleaning them. The dirty rag was on one table, the spray bottle was across the room on another. It's like someone started to clean, but walked out. We finally got our food, and my fries were older, and cold. So I took them back to the counter. There was an older guy behind the counter running around in circles. He seemed rattled. He didn't hesitate, or ask what was wrong, just grabbed a large order and handed them to me. We sat there for 30-40 minutes eating and not one of the employees came out to the dining room. A woman came in with her granddaughter and they had to clean a table to sit down. The girl brought out their meal...a Happy meal and a salad. Set it down and left. She didn't bother giving the woman salad dressing or silverware. And the lady had one arm in a sling. No help at all. A couple of other people came in and had nowhere to sit. The whole place felt dirty, unorganized, untrained, and really quite a mess. As we finished up, a BUSLOAD of teenagers came in. Don't know where they were going to sit! The manager was busy fielding wrong orders from the drive thru. ...
