If I could give this McDonalds a negative star review, I would. So yesterday, Wednesday, September 30, 2020 at approximately 21:46, I ordered my meal. One of the items that I ordered was a 10 piece Spicy Chicken McNugget. I ordered these because my friend told me that they were delicious. While placing the order, they were all out of Dr. Pepper, no big deal, so I ordered a Coca-Cola instead. When I approached the drive thru window, I was told by the employee at the window that they were all out of Coca-Cola, too. I asked the employee what drinks they had available and decided to choose a Root Beer. Upon obtaining my order, I drove out of the drive through and on the road. I began eating the McNuggets as I was hungry due to having a long day at work and did not have time to eat during my lunch. After eating 3-5 McNuggets, I grabbed another one and noticed that the McNugget felt weird. I turned on my overhead light in my car and observed that the McNugget appeared to be bitten into. I did NOT bite into the McNugget and through process of elimination, it is safe to say that an employee bit into the McNugget and served it to me. I immediately felt sick to my stomach, nervous due to my food being tampered with, and called the manager on duty immediately. I spoke with a young man when I initially called who identified as a manager on duty. I informed him of what occurred and he immediately gave the phone to a female who was NOT FRIENDLY, SYMPATHETIC, OR EMPATHETIC, at all about the situation. She refused to give me her name and stated "No I'm not giving you my name" to me. Please be advised that I recorded the phone call and all parties were aware of the phone call being recorded. She stated that her food was fresh. I begged to differ. I know someone who worked at McDonalds for YEARS (OVER twenty to be exact) and they even said that the food looked like it was sitting there for a long time, been tampered with, and was cooked in very old grease. I attempted to call the store back after rudely being hung up on by the female manager and nobody answered the phone. I even called from another phone number and they still did not pick up. Keep you and your family healthy and NEVER eat from this McDonalds. They CLEARLY have unsanitary business practices and now I'm forced to make a doctors appointment due to their negligence in handling my food. Read morePitiful lady were in floor talking, even manager. I said hello I need to speak to manager and lady in purple shirt,which black told me she was manager. She started talking my back order then this black lady came from back saying they did not see me ,which was a lie. The two ladies standing right there talking when I was standing at counter were looking at me. Then the the stupid lady that came from back said you have another option to use the order thing in lobby to order my phone. That lady had no business saying anything when manger was taking my order. This McDonald's always has negative reactions to customers and they always get order wrong and stand behind order counter in middle of floor talking while looking at people waiting to helped. One time this girl said she knew me and was flirting with me and told her I was married and not from Springfield; always poor service all day. I went another McDonald's on Monroe Street and Genera Manger and manger if this store listened to me and it upset her and she told me I am calling that store. It should be in camera when I was at store in Freedom Drive and other store I went to. I won't to point out fact that I am disabled and had to eat to take my medicine. Read moreThis was a horrendous experience with the grill team, but a positive one from the drive-thru and management team.
We ordered a cheeseburger happy meal, no pickle extra onion, and 2 double cheeseburgers the same way. The first time, they had only ketchup and mustard.
We went back through, and the drive-thru team was great. She asked a grill person, and his only reactions were, "I didn't make it," and he then asked for somebody to bring him some onions to the back window. The DT member told him he needed to remake them, and we pulled forward. One sandwich was only ketchup and mustard again. One sandwich had grilled dehydrated onions that were burned. The happy meal was correct but had no meat on it.
I went back through a third time and simply asked for a refund. The manager stepped in immediately, reprimanded the grill team as they were laughing, and took care of us.
She refunded the money, made all new sandwiches, and gave us fries. She apologized profusely, as did her DT team.
I know it's hard to get good employees at the wages they are paid, but that grill team needs a wake-up call. Hats off to the DT team and manager for their exemplary service and handling...
