We have visited Nancy's two times. My wife got the same pasta on both visits and we ordered garlic cheese bread both times. Both items were just okay; nothing special at all. I ordered a small pepperoni pizza (thin crust) on the first visit, which again was just okay or even a little less than okay. The bottom of the pizza was burnt (more than you would expect from a normal fire oven) and the sauce was a bit too sweet. It was not enough to prevent a second visit. I decided to try the pizza that I heard about, the stuffed crust pizza. I ordered pepperoni and I did not see a whole pepperoni on that pizza although to be fair I did not look thru the entire pizza. To me the pizza was not edible. The sauce was overwhelmingly bad and chunky, the cheese had some kind of sour taste that was repulsive, and the crust could have sent me to the dentist. I literally ate on small bite of the pizza before sliding the dish to the edge of the table and sat at the table waiting for my wife to finish her meal. You would assume at a restaurant with these prices that a waitress or member of management would notice that my pizza was not being consumed and was sitting at the edge of the table. Not the case. In fact, both times we visited this restaurant the waitress did not visit our table after the food was delivered. Both times that we visited we were the only guests. Both times I had to bring my wife's soda up to the bar to get a refill and both times I had to approach the bar area to ask for our bill so we could leave. Why did I approach the bar area for those things, you might be asking. Both times there were four to five employees leaning or sitting at the bar. To be fair the waitress during our visit apologized for not paying attention to us due to a meeting that the staff was having and she did not charge us for our drinks. The second waitress was just horrible! From the moment that she approached the table she was rude. It was almost as if our visit was a getting in the way of her day. During our visit I watched her sit at the end of the bar wrapping silverware and messing with her phone. When I approached the bar for the refill one of the ladies standing around the bar pointed me out to her and the look on her face was almost saying "why is this guy coming up here". When I returned to ask for the bill she almost slammed down her phone in frustration. She presented me with 3 slips and told me which one to sign. That slip was the only one that I actually looked at. I signed the bill which was $24.20 which seemed cheap, I assumed that someone did notice that I didn't eat the pizza and could have taken it off the bill which I appreciated. I added a $6 tip even though we really felt like it should have been $0. I know, it does not sound like much and maybe it wasn't, but I figured that she did take off the uneaten pizza which is good but she did not visit the table at all and did not refill our drinks and did not even bring us the bill. The next day (or maybe two days later) our debit card settled the balance and to our surprise there were 3 charges from that visit, the original $30.20 charge that I signed for, there was a charge for $11.78 and a charge for $1.69 both of which were not signed for and was not expected. I am not saying that we were overcharged (I use that term very lightly), I pulled the actual bill out and added it up and the total pretty much matches the bill which did not match what I signed for. In reality if that bill had said $37 I would have never given that waitress a tip of any kind! The reality is that waitress most likely messed something up when she gave me the slip to sign and the management decided to correct it without authorization instead of absorbing the mistake of their employee. Read moreWent there for the 1st time today, me and my husband. Walked in and the server who greeted us was so sweet. We sat down, she came right out got our drinks. When she came back with drinks we right away ordered appetizers. She saw I was empty on my drink so had another one ready when she came and got our food order. The wait for the appetizers was super short. The wait for the pizza was a bit long but worth it. My husband ordered a salad that didn’t come out. We let the server know and she instantly apologized and made sure we got the salad and took it off our bill. (We appreciate that as a lot of places would still have charged.)
I was honestly very surprised with how well our server did as she was the only one up front, doing carry outs/ answering the phones and waiting tables. (Thank you! You said you felt you had not come around enough but you did just enough! I’m so sorry I can’t remember you name!)
Will definitely be stopping back again (possibly after my next appointment lol if not sooner.
Also AMAZING AMAZING food! Some of the best pizza I’ve had since moving away...
Read moreMixed review... Ordered the Greek salad and med pan pizza but added marinara sauce. Restaurant was clean, but small. Not good for parties greater than 4. Bathrooms also clean. Beer was nice and cold, even got a free 1/2 beer when the keg blew as they were pouring mine, then followed up with a fresh cold one after the change. Salad was excellent. Service good, staff seemed to enjoy their jobs as much as anyone could "enjoy" work.
When the pizza came, we were disappointed that we received a small instead of the medium we ordered, and it was missing the marinara topping that we ordered. Regardless, the pie was tasty and we didn't mind too much considering they comped it.
Everyone makes mistakes, so not sweating it, but for a restaurant that serves a food with long cook times, there is very little margin for error. Our waitress could have paid better attention, but I've been in her shoes and don't pretend to judge based on a single interaction.
Will definitely return and give them...
