10/22/2025: Went for breakfast. I ordered the bacon, egg, and cheese croisant. Good sized sandwich. My wife, a vegetarian, ordered the veggie frittata and a pumpkin muffin because they no longer have oatmeal. The fritatta was loaded with ham. When she went back to the counter, the person told her she actually got the denver frittata which was right next to the veggie ones. Bad counter placement. The woman did offer to replace the frittata with the correct one, but by then my wife had picked out the ham and eaten the remainder.
I ordered the meat lover's bowl which was chock full of bacon, eggs, chorizo, American fries, and cheddar cheese. Really filling. I washed it down with OJ. My wife had the largest piece of bread pudding I've ever seen, covered with whipped cream and caramel. The two of us couldn't finish it and took the remainder home for dessert this evening. Everything was excellent. A different breakfast than the usual. Nice staff.
2/20/24 update: Went for breakfast because we wanted something other than the usual fare. My wife had a large French toast muffin and tea. I had Papo's oatmeal which had bananas and strawberries and honey drizzle -- delicious -- and a blueberry parfait with their in house granola -- also delicious....
Read moreThe customer service is stellar, but the food is horrible. It’s worse than any other restaurant or coffee shop we’ve ever been to before. We travel a lot and have tried a lot of places. Absolutely horrible food. Hard, stale doughnuts. You can’t even squeeze them, they’re like a large chunk of cardboard. Chunky lumps of something in a caramel latte. Coffee cake was stale and tasted sour. Meat wrap was so-so but had an awful smell. The Cali sandwich was decent until my daughter bit into what tasted like raw meat. It’s really sad and this sucks. Although the drive through employees are about the best and sweetest we’ve ever been served by. I’d like to hire them they’re so great. They really need to take a serious look at their food quality. Two adults and three kids, paid about $80 for trash, and we just about don’t want to ever eat out again because of this place’s food. So much potential but sad, sad, sad experience...
Read moreOn my way to St Louis from Chicago to followup on police report from when our car was broken into. Stopped in Springfield, when we found this lovely family-friendly cafe with a welcoming atmosphere.
The cashier suggested the cinnamon roll. Upon it arriving to the table, to our surprise it was much bigger than expected. The taste was exquisite. Also got Sante Fe burritos (without chorizo of course, save the animals), which was delicious. As well as the avocado toast which was just alright.
Had a lovely conversation about the new wife swap episode while enjoying our food and coffee. Coffee was quite delicious. I would recommend the Cocomellow latte to anyone stopping by, hopefully under different circumstances than our own.
Unfortunately, we were unable to tip do to the sins committed against us in St Louis. but we...
