After we were seated, the server placed the condiment set right in front of me, where my food would go, I had to move it. Our table and the one next to it were wiped with a stale wet rag and both tables reeked badly (similar to laundry left damp in the washer for days). Not sure how anyone in good conscience could think such an intense odor is ok. One of the entrees our table ordered was G1, Combo Grilled. It can be had with beef/pork/chicken. We asked to leave out the pork/chicken, keeping just the beef, and server said that would cost extra. Strange, because we’re not sure why less ingredients would cost more. At the cashier, considering customer service was subpar even for southeast asian places plus the smell of the tables bothered us, I still left a 19% tip. The server/cashier crumpled the receipt and threw it in the trash without giving it to me. Strange, again, and I didn’t know why - at the time - but I didn’t want to ask for it out of the trash. When I got my credit card statement, it showed that he had given himself a 28% tip (!!) which really upset us, especially considering our experience that night. The food here is excellent. My only issue is the online ordering. The last two times I've made an online order, I arrived at the restaurant to pick up the order only to find out they did not place my order. The first time, they sent my order through after I showed up there. But instead of putting it next in the queue (since it's over 30 minutes late now and it was only Bun Bo Hue) they added it at the end of all the other orders. So now I'm standing there waiting for my order for another 30 minutes (this was before Covid Vaccine was available too). The second time same thing as above except since the restaurant was not busy it took them about 10 minutes to get my order done (Bun Bo Hue again). However, this time I noticed the problem is that no one checks the online order tablets. So online orders sit there until someone manually inputs it into the register. Why do people think this place only deserves 4 stars?

They have dark meat pho! They have dishes other than pho that you don’t typically find in northern Virginia, such as shaky beef. They have a varied menu with appetizers and noodle soups and many drink choices.

I wandered in from Marib next door and asked if they were the same company as a pho restaurant in Kingstowne that I’ve wanted to try but haven’t because I really prefer dark meat pho.

I ordered 2 broths (one vegetable and one beef) and asked about dark meat pho and ordered one of those, too. YUM!

My food was ready quick and the waiter made sure my order was right before I left.
