Skully's — Restaurant in Springfield

This place has been on my radar for awhile and I'm glad I went. We ordered Pork on Pork, Kimchi Fries, and Wok bowl with Tofu.

The food was delicious. The Kimchi Fries were our favorite! These are a must try when you visit. The Wok bowl with Tofu was also delicious! The flavor in the noodles with all the other ingredients was amazing! The Pork on Pork was a bit letdown. While good I was expecting more flavor in the broth. With the broth bland it didn't add anything to the ramen noodles, veggies, or pork. Which is weird because the wok bowl and kimchi fries were AMAZING and had amazing flavor.

The staff was kind and helpful. Making good suggestions for people who didn't know what to order.

The only real negative about the place was where to order. It was hard to tell if there was an entrance or not. We saw the side window but wasn't sure if there was a front or not. Or if the window was picked up only. We saw another group of people confused. I'm still unsure if there is another entrance or if the window is the only place to order. Still, that's just a building setup thing. Some owners have no control over that but it did cause a presumption in the mind.

Small place inside/beside The Royal. Cozy with 3-4 tables inside and an outside eating area as well.

The menu is limited, but what they do, they do well. We had the Chickwick Ramen, one of the Wok Bowls (with smoked pork) and the full order of Kimchi Fries.

The Ramen was great - the broth was rich and succulent, and the chicken was tender with great flavor. The noodles and veggies rounded it out well and were flavorful on their own.

The Wok Bowl was similar ingredients to the Ramen but as a stir-fry - no broth. Excellent smoked pork.

The Kimchi Fries were amazing! The double fried potatoes held their crunch well, even in the middle of all the ingredients. The cheese, kimchi, and kimchi mayo, and fries were a great combo - the tart of the Kimchi, the richness of the mayo, the cheese - just a great dish.

Also a great beer selection - no draft, but probably 25 different craft beers, from Rogue, Avery, etc.

Definitely will be going back. I'll try some other dishes, but will probably always include the...

So far, everything I have tried has been amazing! The atmosphere is small, but fun. The owners and staff are all wonderful and give fantastic service. It's a great option even if you have any dietary preferences such as being vegetarian or vegan. If you have a preference, just talk to them - they are super helpful. Just go try them out. You will not regret it! Yes, it can be a little pricey, but the food is all super fresh and healthy. It's honestly far better than I'm even capable of making at home, to be completely honest.

For accessibility, it is accessible, but the outside glass door entrance can be a bit tough to get open. It's kind of heavy and the first time I tried to open it, I didn't turn hard enough and thought they were not open. I realized it after I walked away and saw someone else walk in.
