It was SO busy during our first visit to Split. It's a small establishment so having a 7 top AND an 11 top at the same time + everyone else was a lot. If it wasn't for the loud and impatient party of 7, it really wouldn't have felt overestimating. Even the group of 11 was relatively quiet! There was one server, two cooks, and someone else that at first I thought was the owner until we saw the business cards indicating we were wrong. Regardless, they all helped each other and no one seemed above doing any task to keep the day running and the diners taken care of. Despite the chaos and the impatient party of 7, everyone working was so nice and never once let it show if they were feeling dismayed. Atop that, the food was incredible! Everything was delectable and the portions were just right. We left feeling satisfied without feeling overly full and bloated. I had the burrata-cado toast (so good) and he had the defibrillator. I'm a vegetarian so I didn't try his sandwich, but I did sample the fries and was a little jealous I didn't have my own plate lol Not featured is my coffee which smelled lovely and tasted good, but what I did take a picture of was the fun water glass. I seriously can't wait to return!

A very unique and delicious option in Springfield! They have such a fresh take on cuisine, and you won't find ANYTHING like this in the area. My husband and I went for the first time tonight and we had the Sebastian (fries with crab dip) to share...it was great! Although the protein definitely wasn't crab, the taste, smell, and texture seemed more like shrimp. But it was still delicious. I had the Maria (wonton chips with Ahi Tuna) and honestly it could have been a LOT spicier. The wasabi sour cream tasted like plain sour cream, the kimchi slaw seemed to have no kimchi, and I needed to ask for more jalapenos because there just weren't enough. It really didn't live up to the description. My hubby had the Meat and Potatoes. It was well executed but ultimately lacking in flavor. It seemed under seasoned and no flavors really stood out. The meat was small medallions that were individually cooked versus a steak that was well cooked and then sliced prior to expediting. Overall it was a good meal, but for the price it could have been done much better.

This place has incredible food! It is definitely not a cookie cutter restaurant here in Springfield. I am a “foodie” of sorts, having grown up in New York and lived in California for quite a few years …

Not only is their food great, but their customer service is stellar.

Kristen, the owner has been nothing but kind and gracious. We had a minor glitch, not even a complaint on my side. I just had trouble getting through, but not only did they accommodate our request. (we asked for them to make a sauce for the shrimp and grits.) but they also sent us home with a free dessert.

The only reason for four stars on atmosphere is that I have a bad hip, and when I was at the restaurant, the seats were high up. So now we just get our food to go!

If you’ve been considering this restaurant, now is the time. They are amazing!

If you like sushi, their tuna bombs are FIRE!

I would like to add to my review, but I am old and technology eludes me,

I have been back twice since my last review. Remember when I said that I could not eat there because of a bad hip?

Well, an angel server named Anastasia (which is kind of humorous since my name is Stacey derivative from Anastasia. I am Jewish and if you know the history between Anastasia and the Russians. I am shutting up now.)

Anyway, Anastasia literally brought in a table from outside so that I could actually sit there. She is absolutely incredible. So now I am fans of both Kristen who continues to be wonderful. (the owner.) and Anastasia.

The food continues to be amazing. I know that we had some kind of risotto with grilled shrimp, a salmon dish with risotto. (risotto seems to be a theme, right? )and I cannot remember what else…. One of my “daughters“(my daughter from another mother. Actually, she was my younger daughter‘s best friend.) have the butternut squash ravioli. I typically don’t like things like that, but it was delicious. I can’t remember what we had the last time, but I just have to say these guys are top notch!

We have tried so many different entrées. They never disappoint. Can you tell I love them and I...

Seriously my favorite place to eat right now. Not only do they serve some of my favorite foods, they also serve some of my favorite drinks. In Springfield it is hard to find a restaurant or bar to go to for one specific thing. Because seriously what is Springfield known for? well believe it or not if you want the best mussels at least in the midwest this place has it. The charm and quaintness of this restaurant are exactly what my wife and I always look for. the muscles are not only a can't miss, they have an excellent selection of spirits wine and beer. The owners take great care in owning the front of house because that is where they come from. They also did a fantastic job in their chef selection. Execute very simple but elegant ingredients and present them in a way it makes you feel like you can go in in gym shorts and a t-shirt and be comfortable. This is also a place where you can go in formal dress and be comfortable. The smoked Manhattan has become a cocktail that I cannot live without. and the muscles let's just say when I go for my birthday I told my wife I need two bowls and that's all I want...
