Starbucks — Restaurant in Springfield

This used to be my favorite Starbucks. It's definitely not at the same level it was before Covid19. The long drive through line is frequently backed up and going out into the parking lot. The service is not like it used to be. They need to invest in a better point of sale system and have a more accurate mobile app. I placed a mobile order that should take 15 to 18 minutes before it's ready. It took 32 minutes for my order to be completed. They were out of stock of one item and had to give me a refund, which voided out my star deal I was going for that weekend. My hot drink was ready 4 minutes before my cold drink. If you visit this location, I recommend you walk in as a customer. Went through the drive thru around 7:15 pm. Employee asked about 4 times in a minute if we were ready to order when we said we wanted to look at the menu. Felt rushed. Ordered two decaf honey almondmilk flat whites. I can't have dairy or caffeine for health reasons but in top of that I am pregnant so definitely need decaf. Pull up and employee is almost condescending says "I guess you guys aren't starbucks regulars." To the employee who was working the drive thru this morning at 7:45, thank you for your compassion. For personal reasons, my day started off horrible and I was in tears going through the drive thru. You did not have to do what you did for me and for that, I will always be thankful. I am a firm believer in paying it forward and will normally pay for someone's drink behind me in line because it truly does impact their day and you never know what others are going through.
