I appreciate that they let you sample the flavors before committing to a $5 single scoop. The first dough shop I visited in Springfield definitely didn't let us do that!
My first visit, I was a little shocked at the price. I opted to get mine to go and after getting home and settling in to watch my movie, I found that the brownie batter dough was rich and couldn't be eaten in one sitting. I put it in the fridge and finished it the next day which made the $5-for-one-scoop much more worthwhile.
Again, while pricey, it's a treat, and treats are meant to be enjoyed intermittently.
I've never dined in, but the few times I've stopped in I've gotten to chat with the owner and he's a super chill, very friendly guy. The younger kids working leave something to be desired.
All-in-all a cute and tasty dessert spot. I'm sure I'll be back for the regular chocolate chip soon!
Update: I did return for the chocolate chip and it was great. Next up: peanut butter with chocolate chips.
Update 2, five years after the original. Changing my once 5-star review to a 3-star. No Baked is now in the mall and has gone downhill. The scoops have gotten smaller and warmer (gross), and the prices have gotten higher.
The last two times I visited the mall there wasn't an employee visible and no way to get their attention. Tonight I called and while the phone rang forever with no answer, someone finally appeared. Please invest in a bell for the counter.
My nephew was stoked to get his Cookie Monster scoop. My husband and I ended up ordering the same thing: a single scoop of oatmeal chocolate chip with no extra toppings. It would have been nice if the employee had had enough integrity to say, "Why don't I put these in the same cup and ring it up as a $9 double-scoop rather than two $6 single scoops and save you a little?"
No Baked just sold to its 3rd owner since opening in Springfield - let's hope they bring back some of the passion for their product and perhaps leave the mall for a space families can sit and play...
Read moreProduct itself was ok, not spectacular & definitely not like regular cookie dough or brownie batter. Main issue was how they shipped the product & how long it took to arrive. I paid for expedited shipping & it took nearly 2 weeks to arrive. Once it did arrive, there was zero packing material to protect the contents & one of the jars was cracked open & full of ants with ants all over the inside of the box. I emailed the customer service & the summary of their reply was sorry but not our problem & directed me to file a claim with the post office. It is the companies problem that they improperly packaged their product which allowed them to be damaged. With even just some packing peanuts or bubble wrap the entire issue would’ve been resolved. Will never order from them again & don’t...
Read moreI visited NoBaked last weekend. They allow you to sample various flavors, which I liked. I wish the dough had been colder, as this was very warm and almost to the texture of melting. However, I got a myself one scoop to have in-store, and small 6 oz container to-go for my son, and was charged for a pint. When I asked the girl who was running the register, she argued with me that it was a pint. I chose not to hold up the long line, and come back to her when the line died down. She STILL continued to argue that it was a pint after showing her the flyer they had on the counter. Someone else finally stepped in and corrected her and refunded me the difference. If there is one thing I can NOT stand, it's horrible customer service. I won't be back, simply for...
